But we are unlikely to change all those players, we'd lose too much money. Most of those players will still be here next season and Rodgers will need to manage them.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostIf Kenny had spent wisely I suspect he'd still be in a job. bad signings cost people their job. I wonder if he lost his job because they wanted to take his power away and Kenny wouldn't have it.
Had we had better finishers in the squad we'd have come higher up. People can argue against that all they like, but sometimes the stats are right.
So if they suddenly start playing well are they good signings that needed more time, good signings and Kenny was a bad coach or bad signings that Rodgers is getting more out of than we should?
As I say, I think Kenny had us playing good football but we didn't finish with goals, the number of missed penalties last season was a joke.
Rodgers has Swansea playing good football too but they also didn't score many goals. Do we have better players than Swansea that under performed or just more expensive players?
I like his style but I hope he can adapt it to be more clinical in front of the oppositions goal

While I’d have loved to see Benitez get the job, Rodgers is reminiscent of Rafa at the stage when he joined Valencia: no big-club success, with the major achievement no more than promotion to the top flight; but future success determined by a desire to learn from the best, with a willingness to travel and study. Instead of RB, we got BR. (Indeed, Rafa brought Valencia to Anfield and controlled a game, just like Rodgers did with Swansea.)A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
