    It's a massive gamble.

It's also FSG's first real chance to prove whether they know what they're doing or not. It was fan pressure that got them to appoint Kenny, and if they'd bowed to it again, I'd have no doubt that Rafa would be in charge right now.

They've been very brave not to go with the popular choice and there's no doubting that Rodgers is FSG's man. I have a sneaky feeling we'll all be looking back on this in 5 years and thinking it was the best decision they've made.

    JURGEN KLOPP - LIVERPOOL MANAGER

Did someone just post an article that actually compared Danny Graham to David Villa? Errrr
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
      Mine angry and defrauded young?

You can argue it's exaggerated in places but the picture as a whole isn't unrecognisable.
There's no doubt that we've got more than our far share pompous, self-important drama queens that like nothing better than jumping up and down on tv or in cyber space to get attention, but I think their influence on the success or failure of the Manager is overstated. Bodge didn't fail because he didn't have unanimous support from the get-go; he failed because he wasn't up to the job.

No he offered his resignation but it was refused, thus he is still there.

Yes I am. Like I said, when it comes to managerial appointments we have been rodgered more times than a police walkie talkie.

Oh god, yes. He was terrible, although... If the fans had just put up with it then FSG may have allowed him to hang on until the summer before starting the very revolution they've now embarked on. That was mentioned at the time.

So it's arguable our vociferous reaction to Bronto means we lost a year. And I think in that year we have become a less attractive career move for many European coaches, although I wouldn't want to overstate the case.

Rodgers' advantage is that we all (ok, nearly all - BobtheCharmer doesn't like it) want his preferred style of play to succeed so I'm sure the fans will be more patient than we were, rightly, with Hodgson.
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                      Clown.

This clearly isn't a Red, otherwise he'd know about Clarke. Someone who doesn't pay much attention. Bye

I thought he handed in his resignation which then FSG turned down...

No he didn't, his resignation was rejected by the club.
