Thanjk you.

Tackling and attitude is the only real positive to his game. For me he is a woefully poor defender who's usually a liability at the back. Obviously Rafa probably thinks the same hence why Warnock hardly ever starts a game. I think to call him a Championship player is harsh but in my opinion he's a Wigan, Fulham or Villa type player and definitely not a LFC player.
I have to agree with this. But he did get better as the game went on.
Last night he wasn't too bad at all but I just think generally he is a liability at the back. I sh!t myself whenever he's selected to start in any big game. Still can't believe he was ever called up to the England squad!
I don't want to sound harsh on the lad because he always puts in 110% but I just don't rate him.
Yeah I love to see Warnock tackle (not his penis) especially since he has suffered two broken legs in the past while playing football. I think alot of players would have been put off by that fact.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Have to agree with desert on this one. The lad has great heart and determination, but he is forever attempting to recover from his poor defensive positioning. Seems like a great lad but definately comes up short at the top level IMO.

Tactically the lad doesn't have a clue. He has no idea how to hold a position or where he should be when the opposition have the ball. Positional sense could well be the most important trait for any defender and unfortunately Warnock has always lacked it.
He's miles behind Riise and was very poor last night.
Have to say I agree - crunching tackles don't make him a good defender - he was beaten too easily on occasion and his general distibution was woeful - I thought he might develop into a good player, but on last night's showing he's probably not going to cut it at LFC.
He got skinned about five times in the first twenty minutes.
He was clumsy and his positioning shocking.
He also made some last ditch challenges and made a great interception that would have put Larsson(i think) clean through down the right.
He's a good player, not better than Riise but certainly good back up for him.
