Liverpool U18s battled from two goals behind to record an impressive 3-2 victory at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, with Seyi Ojo striking the late winner.
Steve Cooper's youngsters dominated the opening stages but entered the half-time break 1-0 behind and conceded a second within a minute of the restart.
But half-time substitute Kristoffer Peterson reduced the visitors' arrears with a well-taken individual goal before Louis Robles brought the scores level after Daniel Cleary's headed knockdown.
The turnaround was completed for Cooper's side with 10 minutes left on the clock as Ojo found the back of the net with a left-footed effort from distance to secure three points.
The U18s are now on seven points from their opening four fixtures in phase two of the Barclays U18 Premier League - three points behind the leaders with two matches in hand.
Post-match, manager Cooper told Liverpoolfc.com: "We're really pleased with the performance, our passing and positional play was very good.
"We had four U16s playing and finished with an U15 playing so it was a very young team.
"It was harsh for us to be 2-0 down but the lads showed great attitude to recover and score three goals."
The Reds team was: Firth, Randall (Whelan), Hart, Cleary (Brewitt), Heaton, Burke (Peterson), O'Hanlon, Brannagan, Wilson, Ojo, Robles.

Liverpool U21s take on West Ham United at the Kirkby Academy - a match you can watch exclusively live on LFC TV and LFC TV Online from 1.45pm GMT.
Like Liverpool, the Hammers won their respective league section to earn the right to play in the Barclays Premier U21 elite league.
Nick Haycock is in charge of the West Ham side following his recent promotion from the U18s.
The last meeting between the two teams was October 5, 2010, when the Hammers won 1-0 at Prenton Park thanks to a goal from Benni McCarthy. The likes of Conor Coady, Jack Robinson, Daniel Pacheco and Jon Flanagan played in that game while Suso was on the bench.
Kick-off at the Academy is at 2pm.

Ah ok, he's some non league sensation: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...niel-Carr.html
Delighted for the lad, from non league to trials with Premier League teams, what a buzz that must be for him. Let's hope he takes his chance!

Smith and Sokolik are injured. Jones will be playing in FA Youth Cup tomorrow night and Sama is erm, ****.Originally posted by Daffy Duck View PostIs that Nacho Hueartas, where was he all this time?
And who is Carr?
And what happened to all our defenders (Smith, Sama, Sokolik, Jones...)?

Nah, not sure about Sama.
Looks like it might be a good game to watch, if it wasn't for Cheltenham this week I probably would have taken a half day.

Reminds me a bit of how Whelan used to play.
