When I saw the teams, manure without Pogba this season and Tunnicliffe being out, I thought we were going to thump them. Then I remembered Suso, Sterling, Shelvey and Morgan have turned to yellow jelly recently. And that's exactly how it played out. If it wasn't for Ward in goal we'd have lost by a bigger margin.
But focusing on the positives, manure weren't that good and their 'talent' is as usual a bit meh. Januzaj (the Belgian) is supposed to be their best prospect but he looked a slower, weaker Adjoran. Andy Cole's son missed 5 clear cut chances....hahahaha 1 in 5 Cole, like father like son.
On our positives, Coady really impressed as a CB and Adjoran as a Lucas-role. Both are actual footballers (in the head as well as feet) and were able to lend that to their physical presence. Sama is a loose cannon as he has been for the past two years. Wisdom is a wierd one, so much early promise turning into dust - or maybe he thought this was below his level.
We pretty much dominated for large parts of the second half, mostly with 10 men. Morgan should have scored at least once, but the sooner he's off our books the better as Ibe/Sinclar can be promoted and prove to be more useful. Texeira plays exactly like Suso used to last year (i.e. sexy). Lets hope his trajectory doesn't take the same dive. One tit for another.

The Football Association are to look into a number of incidents which occurred at Monday night's Premier League under-21 match between Liverpool and Manchester United.
Late in the second half of the match a fan ran onto the pitch at St Helens' Langtree Park stadium and appeared to direct abuse at the Liverpool striker Adam Morgan before tussling with stewards as he was led away. There were also two instances of flares being set off in the stands, with one being thrown onto the pitch.
The Football Association have confirmed that they are looking into events at the match and are to write to the two clubs involved.
There were also reports of distasteful chants being made by a section of the visiting support but Merseyside Police said no complaints had been made to them and there was no record of any incidents in which they were involved at the fixture.
Fans of the two north-west clubs have a well-documented rivalry at first-team level but this is not the first time a youth team match has been affected.
Almost two years ago at an FA Youth Cup game at Anfield a minority of away supporters sang songs about the Hillsborough and Heysel disasters, a flare was let off, there were three arrests for drunkenness and six United fans were ejected from the ground.
That rug really tied the room together.

Same here.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostWhen almost half the team are on the periphery of the first team it isn't ridiculous to expect them to play decent football. They weren't just playing any old team either - it was against the Mancs. I think negative views can appear much more harsh on a cold computer screen, but it was disappointing to see such little talent on display.
Wisdom, Suso, Sterling, Shelvey, Coady, Morgan all played for first team this year and some have been quite regular and I personally expected much more from them in that game.
Personally I cannot say that any impressed in that game and they left lot to be desired for even before Sama was sent off.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Should I make a complaint? They were definitely directing racist chants towards Sterling. Everyone around me commented, it was blatant.Originally posted by Liverpel View PostThe Football Association are to look into a number of incidents which occurred at Monday night's Premier League under-21 match between Liverpool and Manchester United.

Leeds were actually a decent outfit once they sorted their midfield out. But no one could have handled Ibe, he was outstanding first half. Shame we couldn't have played him in the U21 against manure, he would have caused havoc there too.
Quick mention of the new guys. Cameron Brannagh is a very neat and tidy midfield player, I like the look of him. Makes Lussey and Roddan look like Heskey and Jovanovic. Rossiter yet again reminded me of Lucas, he could be as good (hopefully).
Amid all this talent Jack Dunn continues to stand up and be counted. Competition to play regularly is hotting up as Petersen couldn't get on until the end and he's not half bad either. One tit for another.
