I don`t think the coach (Mjelde) is afraid of playing youngsters. If he was then why would bring him in on loan for the rest of teh season? There isn`t that many games left of the season now (6) so for there being any point of loaning him he better start getting some matches. Strømsgodset has a good loan agreement with Man City, where they`ve loaned young players that normally wouldn`t play here. So my guess is that Start wants to get same deal with LFC, but for LFC to be interested in that Bijev should get some more games.
The main reason that he doesn`t play more is, IMO, that Start is doing really well at the moment and wants to secure promotion before they give "new" players a chance. (or that Bijev is any good at all)
Bit confused about the Bijev loan deal. He started a 1 year loan in August with IK Start but the season has now finished in Norway!! What was the point in that. He only played 11 minutes. I understand that he doesn't have a work permit yet for UK, but surely they could have sent him somewhere where he was going to get regular games.
Start got promoted three/four rounds before the end, and he still didn`t get games. He played for the reserves, who are in the fourth tier, and the level isn`t good at all (there are 12 leagues at this level in Norway).
I will be very surprised if he makes at LFC.
I know we're easing him back in gently after injury, but f*ck me we're taking it to extremes. He was away on International duty recently, but has still played barely 45 mins for us.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
