    Thought we looked great; what a difference world class, mature players make. Well done against poor opposition, but if we can turn it on like that against the bottom 12 teams, we'll be in with a shout for the Champions League places. Was great to see us play well at last.

      Our performances should only improve too, once we get fitter and used to this style of play.

        That highlight link from Mrmikey made my day! Was some sexy **** goin on there (only a highlight but still!!)...some slick first time pass and move...cheeky flicks...trickery & skills from the magical suarez!! Love it when we torment teams like that and cant wait to watch it develop into a more fluid system! Just under 2 more weeks till new season is here 8-)

        Also can we get a song made for us when we're dominating the league to the tune of 'the venga boys are coming' lol maybe like 'brendan's boys are coming...' heheeehee

          It was really good but let's not get carried away, FC Gomel are ****.

          Not only are they **** but unlike almost all **** teams they didn't come with 10 men behind the ball. They were wide open and it was very easy for us.

            I remember everyone getting excited after we beat Rabotnicki under Roy and Cole looked immense.
            If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

              This number is even more impressive given our lead throughout the match. Held the foot to their throat. Also, I wonder if the difference in their performance away from home has to do with our quality on the pitch; Suarez/Gerrard/Johnson/Lucas/Agger made a huge difference for us. Hope to see it all season long.

                The challenge this season will be finding enough creativity to break down the defences of the **** teams this season. I can see us having similar problems as last but hopefully there will be more luck and we'll convert far more chances.

                  Just from the highlights we played some nice football. Great link-up play between Suarez and Gerrard. Suarez was fantastic. After Johnson's goal Suarez nearly took his head off! Bloody RACIST!

                    I think the difference will be more movement in the 18 yard box and not having our forward line so bloody isolated.

                      True but they are all match fit and we aren't so I'd say it was a stern test.

                        Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field.
