I'd like to see us play Borini down the centre with Suarez on the left and Gerrard on the right of a 3.

Stick Henderson next to Allen with Lucas holding, if they don't appeal the red card for Agger and even if they do I doubt we'll win it I seriously hope we play Coates next to Skrtel

We're all just have to be patient. It was clear to see that, at times, some of the players didn't seem to know what they were supposed to be doing.

They looked disjointed when we didn't have possession, and therefore one pass would beat 3 players.

Going forward we looked like we could do something, Suarez crafted himself a couple of chances, and had a couple put on a plate for him. However I don't remember him hitting the target with any except the one he hit straight at Foster.

Borini or Carroll need to play through the centre. I was surprised how many crosses we got into the box bearing in mind the team we were playing.

A couple of dodgy decisions, such as a couple of the first half offsides. The one that springs to mind is the one when Downing was clean through. I watched it on Satanta and when they paused the replay just as Suarez hit the pass he was about a yard onside.

The first penalty was soft, but also the red card was to the letter of the law. We have no chance of getting that turned over. Pepe made the save. The second penalty was comical, no way was Long in control of the ball at any time, Skrtel hadn't even seen him and was trying to play a pass to Johnson.

            Olsson is a ****.

37 games to go now, we just have to make sure we pick up points at home on Sunday.

            Come on red men.

I ****in hate that Olsson. Kicked lumps out of Torres when he was here and now does the same to Carroll every time we play them. And gets away with it all the time.

He should have had at least 1 yellow yesterday and thats being kind to him, dirty player and against us he gets away with it time and again

We got creamed by one of the worst teams in the league, there are reasons to be concerned.

And yet he was signed in order to play this role. Another issue I'm concerned with.

Didn't they finish 10th or 11th last season. They are not terrible by any stretch. We should be beating teams like this I agree. But you can't expect the team to come flying out of the blocks destroying teams from the start.

Luckily I was too pissed last night to watch MOTD.

It's only the first game lads I know it's not an ideal start but we'll get better I'm sure.

We just need to stay positive and we'll improve. I'm confident we'll see a much better performance against City and the mood will all change.

                        0-1 would have done.

Wba started ok, with a new manager among unfamiliar players.

it wasn't great but there was a wonder strike just before half time, a sending off, 2 pens and a 3rd goal.

Not a good day at the office and it was a reality check to a certain extent but it's all about how we bounce back against City next Sunday.

@KOPWATCH: Rodgers asked about problems in the side: "There's no doubt about it, we need to score more goals. It was the same last season."

Top striker should have been a priority.
