I was delighted with Cole, didn't want any of the others. Want them all gone now, though. Problem is that our depth in attacking positions are non-existent. And I'm guessing Rodgson is relying on Cole for that. Naive I think.

Can't blame him for not wanting to leave.
Good. Soon he'll be re-united with his mentor, Ian Holloway, who will storm the Shankly gates and sweep Anfield off its feet. Just hold on tight, Charlie.

I was well happy with Henderson, Thought Adam would improve our set pieces so was happy with him......But Downing and Carroll were Joke signings even though I kidded yself they might be decent.

It's a bit **** having these players like Adam etc that know they are'nt wanted still in the dressing room tbh.

Without wanting to go into too much debate over Rafa... would we have been looking at Hazard, Mata, Silva etc etc Them names were being floated around years ago and before they got the big premiership moves... I miss Rafa still

I was happy with Cole, although the length of the contract and his wages were insane! Adam IMO was worth the fee and i was happy for him to be a squad players at LFC.

As for Downing & Henderson was against them from the start, Carroll well...... that was look a moment of pure madness! Was also against Aqua & Meireles signings. Meireles was meh at LFC
but we got decent money for him, but the Aqua one was such a shambles.

Personally though i'd much rather see Spearing/Downing/Cole/Carroll/Eccelston moved on before Charlie Adam.

Although they weren't linked, with Benayoun going the other way for £6m is seemed like good business for Cole, even on those wages. Clearly not.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

A bit off-topic, but what's happened with Benayoun? I'm guessing he's returned to Chelsea but is he registered for the PL? Can't see him getting much playing time this year.

Not sure, but I'd happily have him back on a season's loan. Maybe not good enough to start every week but a much better option coming off the bench than Cole if BR doesn't trust Sterling enough.

                            How I see it too.

Think injuries have cooked him though, sadly. Always worth a goal, and like you said, a much better option than Cole.

i seem to remember reading about yossi being injured.

the signing of joe cole on a free seemed at the time to be a coup for us, but the fact that he was free meant he could squeeze us for 100k a week. this is now what is preventing us getting shut

we need to allow him to go for free, and to who ever will take him on. we know he would prefer that there london, where there are plenty of duty free cigs coming in from dover.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Yossi had a bad injury early on in his Chelsea career that put him out for the season. He was on a hiding to nothing then. No way back for him now.
