So depressed. Gerrard stank, strolling around after losing the ball. Reina is becoming a liability, he can't save ****. Suarez was about as bad as he's ever been for us. Horrible reality check.

I think that was quite likely.Originally posted by reds123 View Postgerrard and Suarez were a bit tired imo after thursday
I don't think we were anywhere near as bad as made out. We were seriously lacking in creativity sadly, some very poor, low percentage deep crosses, not enough movement to run of the defenders.
Arsenal, despite what a lot of people have made out, Arsenal are also a very good side.

Sahin for me was like a less effective Allen, very very tidy and you can see he has a range of passing in his game.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostReina, Gerrard, Suarez, Borini - all very poor.
Sahin - ok, bit meh.
Everyone else was decent.
Not fit yet, will be a big player for us.The times they are a changin'.

Spot on.Originally posted by G View PostUtterly wank today. Only Sterling and Allen and maybe Shelvey can be happy at their efforts. Too early for Sahin, not fit enough game passed him by.
The rest were absolutely terrible, Gerrard and Reina are too assured of their positions, Suarez is not a centre forward and Borini is not a wide forward. Switch them ASAP please.
And Suarez needs to start helping himself in the eyes of refs, he gets nothing because he's theatrical, rightly or wrongly, and that won't change until he stops moaning and falling over at every opportunity.

Arsenal got outplayed until the scored from a Gerrard error. After that, they set up for counter attack and had it easy. We lost that game because we were bull**** in attack when on top, and because Gerrard is a **** up so far this season.Originally posted by john316 View PostAbsolutely dominated by an Arsenal team that is a shadow of its past selves.
Reina is all at sea
Defence is not working together at all
Midfield is spineless without a fully fit Lucas
Attack is rubber knife-esque

Yep, and absolutely nothing to change it. Brendans team was **** today but the owners are a disgrace.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostSo depressed. Well, that was my point really. If Downing and Borini are competing for the same place, then it's a pretty dire state of affairs.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postand yet he looked after the ball better than borini did. borini was parp again today.
I reiterate it and it's not being negative but we need results and results come from scoring goals and if we can't get our act together quickly, we'll be sucked in a relegation battle. Are we winning?

I hope it's their summer activity that's why Gerrard and Suarez are so below par. The first touch for both of them was abysmal.
Shelvey did ok, although his lack of pace troubles me. We had to improve when Şahin went off - not that it's a judgement on him, it would have been nice if he had made an impression on the game but it's not fair to expect it.
Still, what a load of crap. We'll never know if Dempsey would have made a difference in this game but it's clear he's not the difference between fourth and whatever cluster**** of a position we'll finish in this season..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

With the amount of twisty turny players we have, why aren't we playing it tight in the penalty area. Surely we would be able to get a number of penalties?
I'm quite the optimist but I'm feeling down about our lack of thrust. Perhaps we can put Assaidi on the left and show Sterling some Messi DVDs and tell him to keep doing that. Was muß, das muß.
