People were telling me I was being stupid saying that we'd struggle to make 20 points from the first 15 games...12 games left

Today wasn't a striker issue, we were **** all over, simple.

Arsenal barely broke a sweat today and come away from Anfield with the points AGAIN!
        We clearly weren't

It was always going to be an up and down season, but after the performance against Man City, this was a serious kick in the teeth. Another individual mistake and again we're chasing a game.

More questions that need to be answered and no bigger question marks than round Reina. There is an obvious lack of threat around the opposiition's 18 yard line that we've known about for a while, the silver lining being the performances on Sterling. Allen continues to look neat and tidy, but that should free up our midfield to support the attack - Gerrard can't find his feet and continues to look sloppy in possession.

Borini on the right adds nothing other than workrate and takes away a poachers threat from the middle of the pitch. Sahin looked tired, but understandable, in a few weeks I'm sure we'll see something from him.

I've said it all pre-season and I'll continue to say it now; there are massive voids of space behind our full-backs and the good teams will exploit it, we need to be more careful with the ball.

Suarez has an off day and we have zero goal threat; if he struggles to retain possession our attacking transitions are lost in movement and we are immediately on the back foot again, more than likely out of shape too.

Shelvey continues to develop nicely, but we'd struggle to name half a team of players who turned up today.

            Frustrating day at the office.

Not really had the ups yet though.

Shelvey did ok, although his lack of pace troubles me. We had to improve when Şahin went off - not that it's a judgement on him, it would have been nice if he had made an impression on the game but it's not fair to expect it.

Still, what a load of crap. We'll never know if Dempsey would have made a difference in this game but it's clear he's not the difference between fourth and whatever cluster**** of a position we'll finish in this season.
Dempsey wouldn't have made a difference.
                Are we winning?

I don't like thinking or saying this, but I think this season is a write off, we aren't even going to come close to the top four. I think that Rodgers has underestimated the size of the job facing him.

They scored their first from a counterattack and had numerous breaks from counters early on

Even a trained chimp like me could see that a player should be sitting / holding

Lucas going out is a big miss but Kenny had to suffer that last season

I think the football will become more possession based but we will still be toothless and as such teams will exploit our flaws more readily

Cant say I'm that optimistic of much if any improvement this season

Well done on being right that we'll struggle. You must be delighted.

Which people? Come on, name names.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                            We are in the ****.
Today I saw a team with no confidence and no game plan. When it started to go wrong Rodgers should have changed the system but no he held his head in his hands and sat down. The way we played was crying out for Andy Carroll as the centre striker, plenty of crosses & knockdowns and a young goalkeeper to bully. Boroni is not a striker, he will do a job as part of the front 3 okay, Sahin should not have started it should have been Shelvey.
From where i sat i thought Webb missed 2 pens but i do not have the benefit of replays. But it was not the refs fault we lost.
Rodgers talks the talk about our history and admiring Shanks/Paisley/Fagin etc but none of them would have put up with that **** today. I'm not convinced by him at all and as for the fact we don't have a striker, its laughable.
                            Can we recall Carroll?

Positives were Sterling,Allen and Shelvey when he came on who can hold their heads high.

Reina needs to have a long look at himself. He needs competition I think.
I'd actually add Downing to that list personally, had a couple of decent efforts and actually looked positive.

How bad was Suarez by the way? He was even worse in the 2nd half for me.. Got 1 chance sometimes all you get in a big game, had a massive area to smash it near post and tried a ****ing chip
