Huge verdict, finally acknowledging publically what we have known all along, surely the CPS will have to bring prosecutions now.

I was at the 2 semi finals at Hillsborough in 88 & 89 and I am so relieved the families and those of us who survived have finally received this verdict

I didnt think we would get such an emphatic verdict

Apparently the only national paper not to tweet the verdicts is you know who, be interesting to see if they cover the story at all tomorrow.

They should never have had to go through years of pain to get to this point. It is terrifying what our establishment and institutions are capable of. At least our legal system managed to stay impartial and deliver some truth. My thoughts are with all those families today.

If the CPS don't bring criminal charges, (i don't know how they could make this decision but I am making that assumption on the fact that they are "considering" to make charges) then it will surely be a bigger kick.

Surely they HAVE TO bring criminal charges.

Unbelievable day though. Made up for the families of the 96 victims. Also, so apt that this is the final year of the Hillsborough memorial service.

Great, great stuff. I'm not comfortable calling it justice just yet mind, not while poison like Duckenfield and others involved are freely walking the streets. But thats up to the families not me. Today is a brilliant step, just more than a bit sickening it took 27 years to come out with what most knew anyway.
