I watched that the other day on iPlayer and I've not cried so much through any Hillsborough related film or documentary. Crazy. Phil Scraton is an absolute ****ing hero.

It's all part of the same story - the government, ministers, the police and the subsequent cover-ups. Maggie's army could get away with almost anything back then, the circumstances behind their presumption that they were untouchable needs further investigation. If the police were backed by the government time after time then eventually they'll think that any situation can be brushed under the carpet. Hillsborough goes right to the top, there needs to be further investigation into the other issues of the time including the miners' strikes.

It's fantastic to see the support the scousers are giving the miners.

As bad as it was it's just such small fry next to Hillsborough it takes a massive heart to find a place for it.
