Unless it's a deliberate tactic. It's been like that all season. We do attack in numbers though, much more than when Rafa was there. Surely, this should stand us in good stead in the long run though, but key is to score, which we aren't doing enough, especially if we're conceding.

With all things I think it's getting the balance right. I expect that balance not to be quite right so early. I think Rodgers know what he's doing. Not sure it's good enough to be successful in the English game, but only time will tell.

I'm f@c@ing sick of referees/officials in this league, there are brutal either thick or unfit and too old- I was on the bench at one of yesterday's games and the fourth official was in the refs ear the whole game. He was telling the ref what was been said from each bench. The funniest part was the fourth official telling the ref "Come on, sharpin up, only 20 minutes to go for a cup of tea" And that was the first ****ing half!!! They are not fit enough for this league, no surprise there are going to be shocking decisions. In fact the whole FA are a joke, stinks of corruption and jobs for the lads. I'm sick of it.

The linesman was looking right across the pitch. Nothing to do with fitness, he just didn't see it properly for some reason and guessed. Unbelievable.

He fell into the "thick" category.

We may have lost a two goal lead, but we didn't collapse and cave in after doing so, and should have won, so something to be said for that. Plenty of positives to take from today still. imo.
Agreed. There is no point trying to analyse our playing style on the back of a derby game. We outscores Everton in their ground. No point whinging about aspects of our team when the linesman was the only reason we're not all made up about a good win.

We desperately need a better stand in keeper. Sorry Jones but you flap too much!

Rodgers was asked about Moyes' comments that Suarez was a diver. He said, "Do you want me to talk about Phil Neville? Don't start me, please don't start me."

Aye, that's the crazy thing. On the replays you can see him looking across, flag down, flag down... it takes him about 4 seconds to put it up, he's quite obviously just guessed and that is so so wrong. The officials are supposed to favour the attacker in marginal calls and if you aren't sure you simply can't rule something out. Bit like the lino in the Chelsea/Scum game, stinks their 3rd was given when it was off but taking the context of the team involved etc out, if the guy wasn't sure then he has to allow the goal, as he did. No justification for that decision in our game whatsoever, absolutely appalling call.

Football should be about the football, not about stupid refereeing decisions. This game was a good game although I thought Fellaini was unbelievably fortunate not to be carded on several occasions and Jagielka deserved to walk for his cynical foul on Sterling. The third goal from Suarez was a goal. It's so frustrating, what was the linesman thinking? What prompted him to raise his flag so long after the goal had been scored? It smacks of corruption. If it's off-side then flag for off-side when it happens. Don't wait until the realisation of the goal dawns before deciding it might be a good idea to wave the flag. Don't decide that the goalscorer isn't a popular one before you consider it might be a well received option. The linesman made a massive error today, one that could either be considered corrupt or incompetent.

Fellaini should have been carded for his barge into Agger just before he was carded for handball.

Moyles wants to talk about players lucky to stay on the pitch for deliberate fouls. Felaini took his eyes off the ball and just bashed into the man. Violent conduct for me.

I also want to say that the goal celebration by Suarez was bloody hilarious. Cheered me up that did.

piss poor at best, possibly corrupt...
wonder if one of the other officials said some thing like "is that offside?" and then he belatedly raised the flag. maybe dbf has loaned gollum his microphone that is on the same frequency as the ref and lino's...

with incidents like this, and the clattenberg issue, maybe the fa should look to have all discussions recorded in case they have to be used as evidence. it might then discourage players to be so gobby with the refs.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
