They're not complete long ball merchants like Stoke but they are proper scrappers. To be fair, they were missing Pienaar who gives them a bit of ability on the deck but when was the last time we had a full strength side out??

**** 'em indeed. I'm sick of every Tom, Dick and Harry coming out with bull**** about our club, about time we dished some back.

the bluenose i work with is totally convinced that we kicked them off the pitch and dont try to play passing football.

A bitter friend on facebook has been laying into the Gerrard comments and then gloated that Ryan Giggs has won the premiership eleven times to Gerrard's zero.

Gloating about the success of United when he supports Everton.

There is this weird alliance between Everton fans and United.

It isn`t really that weird, is it. They share the same team to hate.
Could it also have something to do with Rooney? They don`t have much success, so they look at his as something to brag about?

We should use this new 'power of apology' to get a lot more in:

Shelvey accuses Ferguson of having refs in his pocket. Apologises.
Gerrard likens Everton to Stoke. Apologises.

The above two things are now in the public domain and in people's thoughts. They can stew on our empty apologies too.
                One tit for another.

It's massively weird and wrong. Forget that they have the same enemy. This is about two rival cities. Supporting the Mancs in any way, shape or form, for whatever reason, is just plain wrong.

Every Everton fan I know has them as their unofficial 2nd team too It's bitter and sickening.

It is so odd. There's also the Phil Neville connection which seems to have strengthened the bond between Everton fans and United.

Funny though that my United mates couldn't two hoots about Everton.

The lovin' is all one-way, saddos.

I suppose it is a bit like us preferring City to win than Scum.

Having said all that, I remember in the 80s I actually liked Everton and only since the 90s have I started to absolutely detest Everton. Small club with a small mentality and some seriously scum fans.

While love is way over the top i could have understood them liking Scum once upon a time, Way back when we were succesful and they cheered on scum to stop us winning titles, Just like we Cheer on City to Stop Scum winning titles.

But now, Makes little sense but then neither does supportin Everton

I feel sorry for kids when I see them being made to wear Everton strips by their dads. They don;t want to support Everton, of course they don't.

Thats starting to show in the city now, kids wearing LFC kits outnumber EFC by about 8 to 1

As someone who is not from Liverpool it does wind me up when Everton claim they have more local fans. Every single time I have been to Liverpool, when I have been in the city centre (on non-match days) I have seen far far more LFC shirts. I could only conclude that if there were more local Everton fans they must be ashamed of wearing that ****ty blue shirt.
