Allen is most likely knackered but it's his first time playing against his former club, could be a psychological explanation for his poor form.

I'm not sure, he seems a reasonable enough number 2 or 3 keeper... which is his actual role when Doni returns. Great shot stopper, but his kicking isn't up to much.

Disappointing to see us open at the back - they were cutting through us at will. Seems to be an alarming repeated feature of our season.

What tonight again highlighted was the complete lack of depth in our squad and the paucity of our attacking play. Suarez aside none of our players seem to attack or shoot with any real conviction.

Anyway, of course performances have to improve but **** me, it's not going to happen overnight with a threadbare squad like ours, and so early on into Rodgers' tenure? Don't be ridiculous please.

Cant see us getting champions league qualification this season so the cup competitions are important. Winning this would help give the young players more confidence and also give the fans something.

Course he needs time, he will get it and rightly so... not his fault got screwed over in transfer market!!! but performances and results have to improve. There has to be some sign of progression.
Results do, Performances have generally been decent. The ****e don't step up in comps like this, becuase they are ****e. Dont blame Brendan for having to play the likes of Drowning and Cole in this.

Cole needs to be taken out of the club, just pay him off.

Imagine everyday he's training with the other players and he knows he's **** and they know he's **** and the youngsters see him there earning all that money and they know he's ****.

The Manager knows he's ****, after today's game I hope he knows anyway! Seriously if he gets even one more second in a Liverpool shirt I'll despair.

It's embarrassing for everyone and better for everyone, including Cole, to just rip up the contract. Personally if I was him I'd be embarrassed to take the pay off but he will so lets just suck it and take it.

For me he completely disjointed the team today, I've no problem with playing a second string but the line out today made no sense. Henderson at left back? Someone please explain the logic in that?

If games like this are to be used to give promising players experience and rest some of the first team players then I'm not going to complain about that but the line up chosen just made no ****ing sense.

Maybe. I thought Swansea set themselves up very well. While we were scrambling around at the back, they kept their shape really well when we had the ball. I guess they know exactly how we were going to play and knew how to plat against it.
