Someone should have reminded Allan that he wasn't playing for Swansea tonight but too be fair he was all over the place covering for cole most of the first half.

Just got back from the game, so many negatives and so many half arsed performances.
We handicapped ourselves by starting with Cole, he was misplacing 5 yard side way passes under no pressure.
Swansea had a much better system, we had a massive hole between midfield and defense. Maybe because of our lack of pace (Carragher) or general ****ness of our midfield today.
The first half was comfortable enough Swansea seemed happy for us to play but we didn't.
We walked the ball into the final 3rd and by the time we got the ball to Assaidi he had no space to run into and not once did a player overlap him or give him a short option inside.
Michu held the ball up so well for them playing nice give and goes with Ki who looked a player.
Robinson struggled badly and Carragher put him under pressure a few times when it was the wrong ball.
Only positive for me tonight was Coates actually won an awful lot of tackles and came out of the back with the ball well, only to have very limited options.Vive la France

Can I just point out that several of the lads that played tonight haven't actually played much this year.
Carragher and Cole for instance have barely featured in the first team so neither are going to have any real match fitness.
Joe Cole has hardly had a decent run in the team since he's been here yet we're all quick to stamp on him.

that's ****ing physioroom for you.....don't know where they got an exact date in November from. But early December seemed a decent shout for him to be back...........best to wait for some official angle on it I suppose, and then they'll send him out before he's ready so he can get injured again.Originally posted by Liverpel View PostSo, he'll be a day late for the trip to Swansea?

How match fit do you need to be to pass a ball literally 5 yards to your left under no pressure? Because he managed to misplace 2 of those inside 5 minutesVive la France

In fairness, at least Carragher behaves like a professional in his approach to his dwindling days as a professional footballer.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostCan I just point out that several of the lads that played tonight haven't actually played much this year.

Cole has been taking the piss for a long time now. I'm not talking so much about the 90 G that goes out the door every week, as there's very little than can be done about that now and he was hardly ever gonna turn it down, but his attitude overall must ****ing stink.
I cannot comprehend how Rodgers, and no doubt Kenny before him, wouldn't fail to notice the lack of fitness or aptitude that this fella must be demonstrating every day at Melwood."I will make the boys feel your support"

It seems like he wasn't the only one misplacing passes though.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostHow match fit do you need to be to pass a ball literally 5 yards to your left under no pressure? Because he managed to misplace 2 of those inside 5 minutes
It's a quick game playing at the highest level, being match fit would definitely have helped Cole tonight I reckon. Nerves, pressure would also add to the way he played.
He can't be blamed for that.
He played so well in France last year too, he was one of their best players.Last edited by Slinky Skills; 01-11-12, 01:56 AM.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
