Signs are good. I think they'll do well as a front 3 when they all get on the same wavelength.

Borini and Sturridge still a bit rusty. Plenty more to check me from both of them

Other than his predatory instinct for the goal, the biggest thing for me is that Sturridge isn't just a goal poacher. He's got much more to his game. He dropped deep on quite a number of occasions and linked up well with Suarez. In my opinion it won't be too long before you see him pick the ball up from deep go past a couple of players and rifle one in the back of the net. He's got the skill and trickery to do that.

I honestly think a fit and flying Sturridge probably would have cut inside with the chance he had when one on one with Ferdinand and taken a shot with his right foot. I don't think he was ever going to beat the keeper from the angle he took the shot with his left unless De Gea made a howler.

Pleased for him, especially after all the negativity from our own fans.

I was totally underwhelmed but already I'm looking wrong. Still very early days though - he hasn't played a full game yet. I think he's gonna be a real asset for us
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He is reminding me why I wanted him as part of the Torres deal (after a great spell at Bolton)

I'm already re-impressed. He can drift to the right, has skill and can burn past defenders.

it's still weird to see him in lfc shirt. it will be even more weird when he'll put red shirt on

anyway, pleased for him, good job

Converesly, I put him straight into my FF team straight after the medical. Never doubted he would score for us, just not 2 in 2.

Next up Norwich, time to make him my el capitano.

I'm struggling to see what foot is his strongest. I argued that he was left foot, although he look equally comfortable on either.

Definitely has the assets to be a very good player!

Not when he spooned that one over the bar on his right

Its definintely his left foot. His right isn't just a swinger though. Shame he couldn't put that chance away to make it 2-2, but he'd done enough to put the ****s up Vidic/Ferdinand and that was good enough.

Has really impressed so far and could have made himself a real hero if he put that relatively straightforward chance away. Proving me very wrong I am happy to say, and long may his form continue.

Gonna look like a right cunt here.

While he was very good, you did see a little bit of his needing a few chances to score lark.

he seems to have very long, animated conversations with god, which i find strange.

We said the same about Allen too but I have a feeling that Sturridge is the real deal. His awareness and speed are exactly what we need.

The number of times Suarez has raced clear only to be caught by the opposition is frustrating. That wouldn't happen with Sturridge, he's too quick!
