Some really nice link up play with Suarez and he sprayed the ball wide a couple of times, we've got a really clever player here and I'll admit I was totally against the signing.

2. He holds the ball up superbly.
Great body strength to hold off defenders and then bring others into play.

3. He seems to be on the same wavelength as Suarez.
No disrespect to Carroll but those two weren't on the same wavelength at all.

Superb start and long may it continue. He looks so lively and direct in the box.... much like Suarez. I don't care if he is selfish it is great to have another goal threat in the side & with Gerrard chipping in with goals this season we look dangerous going forward.

Last month or so Gerrard is making some fantastic runs upfield and getting into scoring positions. Also good to see him taking shots again from outside the box... as he has a wonderful strike of a football.
