Him and Suarez did a fantastic job though stretching their entire back line. They couldn't track the movement of the SAS at all along with Sterling.

one thing about sturridge, if the pass isnt on he will do all he can to retain possession, and the way he gets the ball to stick to his feet, amazing close control. he holds the ball up so well.

Great interview indeed. However, get out of here with your "all", I think you'll find there were a small number of enlightened souls challenging that opinion of him from the start.

Out of interest, how do we know this? I mean, where has all this stuff about Sturridge having "an attitude problem" and only being willing to play in one position come from? I'd genuinely like to know... and I mean something relatively factual.

Personally I don't see much wrong in a player wanting to play in their favourite position, ie. where they think they are best....

I think this guy will be a success. Possibly a big one. Can see the people who thought £12m was excessive changing their opinions in the coming months.

Too early to be smug, but I thought this was a good transfer from the very beginning, and for a reasonable fee too. Always liked the way he plays; intelligent, wants the ball, wants to score and has confidence in his own ability. Just the right sort of player to put alongside Suarez too.
