Anyway - Sturridge. Its another huge question mark over Brendan and FSG this one. There's no way they can't have known about Dan's propensity for injury and the likelihood of it happening and hampering the season.

Its pretty much negligent that they allowed Suarez to leave and only brought in a 32 year old with the pace of a wallowing hippo and an unreliable plan B type striker with a history of problems (never mind the stylistic clash) going into a Champions League season as squad and cover options.

Shame but true. In fact if we play 2 in attack he should probably be our 3rd choice. We need to find a striker who will work well with mario and help the team score goals.

I agree with charly divok origi is not the answer. He still needs time in France to develop his game. For a while I thought this could be an option but this should only happen if we can't bring in someone else.

There's no point hurting the long term potential of a young player by bringing him in quicker and then placing all our expectations on him. when it doesn't work out we say he's rubbish and never good enough for us. We don't need another lazar markovic situation.
