Not sufficently better than what we already had - and by that, i mean he isn't going to propell us to title challengers.....he wasn't going to be that much better than Coutinho (i would actually rather have Phil in the team anyway.....and when you consider his age...)

We had a brilliant chance last summer. We were cash rich and we had just qualified for the champions league.... if the club admin was strong enough, we would have had the balls to stop the Suarez transfer and put pressure on Barca to put pressure on Sanchez. Basically say to everyone involved, Barca don't get Suarez unless we get Sanchez. If Barcelona had given him the ultimatum of LFC or Barca bench, i think he would have come to LFC. People go on that he wanted to live in London......well that is because the london option was available to him....LFC should have had the balls to make sure that option wasn't there.

I look at the likes of Lyon, Sevilla and even Southampton..... they get what they need in the transfer market. They don't bend over and ask the people they are dealing with to go gently. LFC seem to bring the lube to the party though..... it is a joke. Even the £75m is chump change when you consider that Suarez is one of the top players in the world. 4 month ban or not.....

I think the signings of Emre Can, Moreno, Manquillo and Origi were all good. However, had we had a couple of proper administrators at the club, then we should / could have had Sanchez and Alex Song thrown into the Suarez deal and Reus from Dortmund as well........as opposed to Lallana, Lovren, Lambert and Balotelli.....
    Totally agree. Great post.

They must be reliable. 3h ago '"BREAKING" Arsenal to bid £7m for Cech,

Pretty sure I heard that 2 days ago.
        Football without Origi is nothing

What will be funny though is that he wont get much game time.....and in 2 years time Arsenal / United / Chelsea will go amd sign him for £55m

that lad comes back and hits the ground running and this season could still be a massive success.......

there are obviously a lot of ifs and buts..........but if we beat Chelsea next week then we have a great chance to have a successful season.......a cap-one cup, good cup run in both the FA and Europa and a push for top 4......that would be a fabulous season....plus we would have a young hungry team that have been through a cluster**** **** storm and come out the other side....

He'll hit the ground but it will be through injury again and he will be out the rest of the season.

Our season is on a knife edge. Still ****ed off we didn't beat Leicester tbh. We'd be right on their coat tails had we done. As it stands we are still a distance off fourth when you realise the amount of teams we are relying on to slip up as we post win after win.

Even with Studge its a tall order. Without him it'd be impossible unless we had a fantastic window.

the Leicester result (and more so, the performance) was a kick in the stones after the way we took Swansea apart.

I suppose my overall point is, we have had a ****e season - and questions need to be asked in the summer regardless. However, if we were to win away to Villa this weekend.....and lets say Chelsea drop a few next week and we beat them well....... then we have a home game v Bolton and the return away to Chelsea. We could go into Feb on the crest of a wave, full of confidence and on a nice winning run. If Sturridge comes back and makes up for lost time, then we could end the season well.....a cup or two would be nice too.

And if we do, then the young team we have will have come out the other side of a ****e season - and will be all the better for it.

                                THIS TIME NEXT YEAR RODDERS!!!!

I actually think we will end up 5th but being close......a europa win would be a fantastic way back into the CL though....
