I think it's fair to say if he stays fit, scores goals and we win games. It's all down to him and not the manager.

Any twittersphere updates on what's happening with him? We were targeting the Utd match for his comeback so how far off that threshold are we?

Yeah what is the deal with him, I notice the thread title has changed to back in november?, but there doesn't seem to be anything mentioned in the thread, I thought it was mentioned he could have been back around now.

Also I heard on the radio that Hodgson is worried neither Sturridge nor Welbeck will be available for the Euros is this more Hodgson BS?

It was reported a couple of weeks back that he could be out until November. Hence the thread title.

Unbelievable, he started training so surely he broke down again if that 's the case.
            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I think he was due to return in October. He was ahead of schedule when reports of a September return surfaced and it looks like those reports have been premature.

He probably is in training still, but I reckon they'll be extremely cautious and will not want to rush him back. Unlike last season, when they pushed him back too soon.

i hope beyond all hope that we get a fully fit and ready to go sturridge back, but i worry that he might not even last six games before he breaks again.

I think this Hip Operation was to get to the root cause of his issues. Rather than fixing what happened because of it. If I recall it was an elective surgery at the time. Could be wrong though.

I think he'll be fine when he comes back. What we have to hope for is that he still has that electric pace that makes him such a threat.

I still don't get it. His proper return date is October, we hoped it could be September (it isn't) but the title suggests he's not back until November.

So is he falling behind schedule? Which implies another season of maybes and nearlys with him.

On physio room he's down to return from the 20th Sept but I'd be surprised.

The last article I read (echo?) said he won't make it for the United game which kind of suggests he will be ready just after. We need him.

When he initially had the surgery, they thought he would return in October. His recovery has been ahead of schedule and there was talk of a September return. I don't know where the November chat has come from, but whoever changed the thread title will have had good reason to.

I don't think he's falling behind schedule - and as it stands, he isn't - but who knows what training with a ball will bring. Just because he's on the training pitch and doing some ball work doesn't mean he's fit and raring to go. I also believe Liverpool won't rush him back too soon and will be extremely cautious with how much game time he gets at first.

He's back in training so he's no longer injured. He's just being brought up to a level of fitness for first team action. We could see him anytime but I'm not surprised the club aren't putting a date on it.
