We shouldn't be offering / accepting these as excuses, if players want to be successful, they will have to play multiple games in a week and travel etc. If they can't handle that then they shouldn't be here IMO. Similarly our standards should be judged by ourselves and not what other teams do. An LFC side should not lost 3-0 at home to West Ham regardless of who else West Ham may beat.

It wasn't just the fact that West Ham won that game - it was the manner of the defeat. LFC were outclassed, outfought and out thought for the duration of the game, whereas City threw everything at them and it didn't come off.

Pointis, LFC never looked remotely like winning, whereas the other "shock" losers to West Ham could have had a result in other circumstances.

What does that come down to? Players or instructions?
