I'm more than happy for you (and others) to analyse Sturridge's performance; after all, that's what a forum is for. However, I tend to look at what a half-fit Sturridge brought to our game last night, whilst you seem to want to focus on the negatives.

You point it out but don't expect others not to argue their point.

He was average for his standards (goals aside) I don't get the loveliest? Theres loads more to come once he's not so rusty and sulky.

Its a good thing really.

I think it was a pretty brilliant display, especially when you consider how long he has been out. I remember when Torres would come back from his multitude of injury lay offs, his first few games, he could look closer to Milan Baros than Ian Rush at his peak - so to get that level of performance from Dan is pretty special, and testament to his huge ability.

Re the moaning, that's him. You either like him or you don't, not that I saw much of that. I saw a player who terrorised defenders with his movement, turned the game around from a deficit and had the confidence and ability to finish from ambitious balls the players supporting him had the confidence to play - because they knew they had a world class striker who could do something with them.

I'm no fan of Joe Allen, but look what he did when he knew he had Sturridge in front of him. Players raised their games.

What a difference Sturridge makes - I'm a massive fan, if its not already massively obvious!

Oh and Harv - you're conveniently leaving out the appreciation he shows every time someone tries something ambitious to put him through - not least him shouting after Emre Can for that amazing pass for his second goal.

When you start a paragraph with "Why not..." you're kind of asking a question there Muddles. I answered. People have their right to reply/analyse/review/critique however they want. Ive pointed out positives and negatives of his performance by the way. Full of praise for his second goal. Class all round. The first, his skill in being able to shift to ball to his left foot and the amateur defending letting him do it got him out of trouble after his **** first touch.

His overall game was pretty average though i thought. Lucky for us, he's so ****ing lethal in front of goal and only needs one half chance to punish teams.

I liked that ... he made a point of showing Emre what and absolute peach of a pass that was .. to be honest the service the goal scorers got all night was Amazing ... that cross from Brad Smith was inch perfect ... Jesus if Moreno could deliver the ball like that he would be the perfect LB

Fair enough but a lot of strikers can seem that way .. but once they put the ball in the net on a regular basis who cares also you comment about him Bitching out of a tackle was ridiculous all things considered
