I don't think anyone is saying they want him replaced what is being said is that it wouldn't be huge shock to see him leave this Summer. Hopefully he doesn't as replacing him will be a bloody nightmare but for me it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world if he was to move on

I think having Sturridge on the pitch for us enables the other three behind him have more space , you can see opposing teams are scared of Dan, that cock up from Smalling was because of his presence in the box.

he puts in that chance and Cout scores the tap in and he is involved in all of our danger moments

Great having the runners behind but he gives us another dimension

He's the most natural goal scorer in the premier league but compared to Firminho or Origi he doesn't have their workrate which is a must with our tactics of pressing all over the pitch.

Also I found it odd yesterday that he didn't celebrate with more passion. When you score in that kind of game against our biggest rival you really should! Just compare to Firminho after he scored. He doesn't look happy on the pitch. Maybe it's just his personality and trying to look cool.

Coutinho should have scored this and it would have been a goal and an assist for him even with him playing "poorly". It would be madness to sell him after slowly nursing back to fitness.

In order to do well in this league you need to beat the ****e and Sturridge is one of the few players we have who can get a goal out of nothing to change games where the teams park the bus.

I think that he is still not match fit, I know people are going to say about the long 'preseason training' he had recently. I think when he first came back he was just glad to be playing and was essentially playing on adrenaline after being out so long, now he has been in and around the squad for a while working with what is presumably a fairly intense fitness regime under Klopp is probably struggling to keep up.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

During his post-match interview he seemed pretty unhappy.

I agree with Rich. He doesn't seem a natural fit for the way Klopp likes to set up but his record is so good that he has to play.

He's always had that sort of posturing thing hasn't he. Look at his goal celebration.
Will be interesting to see how this goes, but Klopp seems to like players who leave it all on the pitch, and that's not Sturridge. If we can get someone in with his skills allied to Origis enthusiasm of go for that. Does that player exist though?

                            2 + 2 = Est's new 5

Most players are pissed off with being subbed, some show it more than others.

He would probably like more game time but, he and his fitness is being managed to ensure he is available rather than injured

But still. He doesn't show the same passion when scoring like the others. I think Klopp likes players who shows more passion...

It's fine if Sturridge mopes a little bit, if he kicks up a fuss he can leave but I do think he will be very valuable for us going forward, we need him against teams that park the bus. Hope he stays, but won't be distraught if he leaves.
