I try not to read too much into how a player ‘appears’ on the pitch, so don’t want to criticise Sturridge, but have to say it’s a stark contrast compared to Benteke who has every right to feel a bit shafted by the club, but he doesn’t complain and looks genuinely delighted when he gets on the pitch and scores.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He's only arsed about himself, which isnt a bad trait for a striker. But his comments after the first leg, and how he was last night. He clearly hasnt bought into Klopp.

He's trying to do too much with the ball, just needs to keep the game ticking over and get into good positions, not try and score a individual goal 40 yards out hugging the touchline.

He certainly isnt making the intelligent runs he has done in the past

          Imagine Aubameyang leading the line

I feel Daniel will be off to London in the summer either to Arsenal, Spurs or West Ham.

I think he looks a lot slower

Whether thats due to unwillingness to run / cant be arsed or his injury but he doesnt seem to want to chase things full pelt

With the ball hes still got the acceleration over the first couple of yards its when hes chasing down balls that he looks like he is holding back

To me he looks like a striker who doesn't want to do the work.
It's alien to him and that's fine.

He's up there with Aguero as the best strikers in the PL for finishing but Klopp doesn't set his team up around 1 or 2 players like Rodgers did.

It will come and it will only do so if he plays competitive football. I do wish he'd hang off the last defender more but he is so damn dangerous that it's worth him contributing little in return of the promise of causing panic in opposition defences.

It will only come if he's willing to do it. At the moment it doesnt look like he is.

Am I right to think he has historically not been a conscientious trainer. Might his performances reflect the fact he is leaving so much energy on the training ground?

That hissy fit he threw at Can for the overhit pass in the first half was a disgrace, if he had of put the slightest bit of effort in to chase it down he would have got there. The ball actually held up quite a bit.So self entitled and lazy. Klopp must absolutely hate him, but also hate that when on form Studge is by far our most lethal player so he must play.

That look on his face as he came off last night as though someone had fed him a spoonful of **** was typical him. Trudges off, barely acknowledges young Origi or Klopp. Compare it to Hendo, (who was equally as crap) applauds the away support and gives the guy coming on a clap and acknowledges his manager as he comes off. He was clearly disappointed at coming off too, but his manner was much better. Ditto Firmino. Suarez used to be the same.

Or simply still far off the pace and needs more games. People are reading far too much into this. He's not happy, probably because he's not at his best yet. He's got too much quality that even if he becomes a bit of a luxury, we should accommodate him.

I don't mind keeping him. He's a top talent. BUT he needs to imorove his attitude towards his teammates and fans.

Being pissed at being taken off is normal and actually a good sign. He is coming back from injury he is bound to be poor at times. Honestly if a bid came in for him the summer I would be tempted as mad as that sounds ...equally happy if he stays .. just would like less drama with him, get your head down and work Dan

Do you spend most of your time scouring the net, assembling a back catalogue of lame images to respond to posts with?
