I have thiught this for a long while, seems to be coasting, althiugh he did actually put his foot in this nce today.
think he is just trying to stay injury free and get a big move in the summer.

He's a ****ing miserable cunt, he needs to put a smile on his face the ****er puts me on a downer every time I watch him play.

FFS most of us would do anything to get on a pitch even for 2 minutes. He's a ****ing baby, if you get taken off deal with it. Work harder and play better next time and you won't get taken off.

Him and Joe Allen are complete opposites in terms of approach and mindset, Allen put more effort in on the 2 mins he was in that Storage did all ****ing game.

Yeah I was thinking similar, stay injury free and sub par performances will keep the price down.

Yep, he's a right miserable ******* on the pitch.

Looked like he could hardly be bothered again, that shot when he was clean through in acres of space was so unlike him too.

He can't be still finding his feet either, I'm not buying that anymore. He's been playing for over 2 months, after being made to train hard for months to build up strength and stamina. He just doesn't look like he can be bothered to play the tempo we are looking to play at.

A good offer and I think he's gone, his lack of industry cannot be to Klopp's liking, sure he scores more than most but if he is the wonky brick in the wall of a high pressing attacking defence (if you follow what I mean!) then he is not that much use.

That was the first time I've seen Sturridge play yesterday, and the first match I've been to for probably 2 seasons.

I was actually shocked at how poor his movement off the ball is. There were several times he stood there in the middle, with 2 or 3 players around him pointing at his feet for the ball to be magically delivered where there's no space. If he put a bit of effort in, each time he could've used his pace and found plenty of space to run into, but he clearly couldn't be bothered.

His strike rate may be (or was) good, but if yesterday was anything to go by, someone with 2 thirds of his strike rate and better movement and higher work rate would definitely be far more beneficial to this side than Daniel.

I really was shocked at how poor he was.

If you saw him on a good day you would be blown away, he has it all. If his head and heart are not in it we should sell but he will score **** loads of goals wherever he goes, for sure.

This is it for me and why I'd prefer Origi as a starter or Firmino as the 9.5 and Sturridge as a sub for as long as he is at the club.

If his heads not in it now, after so long off bringing in £100k+ a week, then there's something majorly wrong. He should be working his bollocks off at the moment.

Its a pity that's what I had to witness yesterday, would've loved to have seen him at the top of his game, but my only experience of him now is this.

There would definitely be more energy and movement, plus we've got Ings to come back too and that lad won't give less than 100%.

                            Absolutely.

Terrible all round game and finishing though.

Be interesting to see what his instructions are at the moment as he's not doing what you'd expect on the pitch

I think Sturridge is important for us because he is the one player who has shown himself capable of being clinical in front of goal, for all the quality of the other players they don't get enough goals. Despite being out all season and unfit at the moment only 3 players have scored more goals than him in all competitions this season.(He has 7, Benteke has 8, Firmino 9 and Coutinho 10)
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
