If (when ) we get Champions League next year we are going to have a lot of games and I can see a fair bit of rotation throughout the squad, given the high intensity Klopp is looking for. I can see us rotating Sturbridge and Origi depending on who we are playing.

Watching Sturridge last night and the ability he has to turn on the ball and face up to his defender, and then his ability to find space for a shot (his all round hunger for goals) and you realise his talent is one that would not be easy to replace. We've stuck by him for 2 years of injury, he has an astonishing goals to games ratio, so now really is not the time to look to sell.

I'd sell Big **** Chris and replace him. We'd definitely regret selling Sturridge.

I also think a little too much is made of the 'Klopp type' of player. A striker's role, first and foremost is to score goals, and there aren't that many in world football better than him at doing that. Strikers get much more slack when it comes to how much pressing and harrying they do, and it's not like he's anywhere near Big Ben's level of movement

Origi could turn out to be a world class talent or another N'Gog...we just need to be very careful.
I'm not saying we should sell Sturridge, not at all, don't read it like that. But I'm saying he'll have his hands full is he wants to be the main striker and automatic starter. I really think Origi can challenge him there.

Everyone would want to keep him due to his ability and goalscoring threat but if he won't accept those terms he will push for a move and probably end up at Spurs or Arsenal.

Yeah, apologies - didn't mean to single you out!

Just feels like there's a growing number of fans that seem to think we should sell.

Whilst I think we'd probably do alright without him - I don't think there's any denying that he improves us and on his day you'd struggle to find anyone better outside of the real upper echelon, Suarez, Messi, Ronaldo etc.

What he does, few do better, but sometimes we need more pace and directness upfront, I would love it if he'd accept being a part of a front line that rotates a bit.

I've always said and maintain that we seem to do better when he's in and around the squad. Seems to be some sort of psycholigical boost to the rest of the team...a talisman

Would love to see a pace merchant who scores on a regular basis (and who could play out wide or up front) put into the mix.

Someone like Aubameyang or the Dutch lad Promes (just caught my eye on Eurosport highlight shows so might well just be a highlight reel player along with being a Fifa16 beast ) that could be put into the same team as Sturridge and/or Origi.

Aubameyang would cost massive money, but that sort of pace and finishing could really exploit the space created when teams double man Sturridge.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Does anyone think that Klopp on the advise of our medical team has played Sturridge sparingly, to build him up slowly and carefully.... so that he can get ahead of all these niggles and put his injuries worries behind him? I mean how many times has he been rushed back, under pressure only for him to break down again. Maybe, this bit by bit game time is exactly what his body needs.

When Sturridge is fully fit, he works the channels and his movement is incredible. I really like Origi but I just can't see any managers over looking Sturridge, unless the concern is that is isn't physically able to put in the shift they want.

His stats are ridiculous and as frustrated as he's been not playing certain games, maybe in the long run it is what is best for him and his career... whether he likes it or not.

Could be, he spoke of building up physical resistance for Flanno, maybe something similar. Sturridge didn't look to unhappy yesterday.

Footballers maybe can't see the bigger picture sometimes. They might be so focused on playing football and getting back on the pitch that their bodies might not necessarily be ready.

As much as it has been frustrating not having Sturridge on the pitch when he's been available, he could be a turning point in his career being managed properly.

Got a hug from Klopp as he was subbed, in fact you could almost see the tentative hope in his eyes that he would get a hug as he walked towards the manager. Let his hipster mask slip.

Arsenal will make a £30million move for Daniel Sturridge when the summer transfer window opens.

Arsene Wenger is finally aware of the need for a top-class striker at the Emirates and has long been an admirer of Sturridge.

The 26-year-old scored in Liverpool’s 3-0 second leg win over Villarreal , having been an unused substitute for the first game in Spain.
