Mr Webb An ex Yorkshire Police Sergeant refereeing a Liverpool game? I mean its not like there isn't form is there!!!! Bias can be conscious as well as unconscious too. He shouldn't ref any LFC games full stop.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Am I the only one with the ridiculously OTT feeling that we're going to lose against United thanks to a mixture of an injury time goal/poor officiating/etc, which will make me feel like I hate football, the joy of it is all gone, and that I can never watch another match again? Because that's what I feel will happen.
Surely all it would take is for BR to say in a PC that it would be unwise to have Webb Refeering LFC under current circumstances when he is serving with South Yorkshire Police who are under investigation over hillsbrough. Thus he could never ref against us again.
With that cunt in charge he will give them a pen and send off Suarez. Not feeling confident about this and it all comes from that cunt being given the game. Before i found out he got it i thought we could win but not now.
He gets to ref us because we have never made an issue of his previous employment in SYP with either the FA or the PGMOL.
It's a clear conflict of interest yet it won't be treated as one until we make a song and dance about It.
That said, he has given us a penalty this year for an offence that's routinely ignore by all res in mist games so maybe, just maybe he's softening his stance after all that has gone on last year regarding Hillsborough, he may not want to be seen to be giving poor decisions against us anymore in case he's pulled on it.
Or he'll be as corrupt as ever.
Is the club even aware? Is it possible they just dont know where he works?
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
Well I as a fan have known about it for years, I was genuinely surprised that some on here didn't know so it's possible the club don't know. I didn't know he was only on a career break. Thought he left the force.
Stuff like this is delicate for the club to broach even if they do know.

In isolation this game is just more points to be won or lost. We're expected to lose this one and yet we are more than capable of beating them. I just hope that at the end of the game whatever the outcome we've given it our best and we're given a fair opportunity to get a result by the referee. I suspect that the latter will be too much to expect.

No, I it's a constant nagging feeling.
This is my least favourite fixture of the year. Every year. I find it best to have zero expectations.
