I don't blame the officials for not seeing it, but I am disappointed that it took 20+mins for anyone on sky to even mention the possibilty of it being offside after they had established it was Vidic's goal not Evra's. As for the incident itself, like the Suarez goal last week some breaks of the ball go for you others go against you, it's part of the game.

I thought the same.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostHe's not ****, he was poor in the first half today, and better second half. I think he's had alot of football in the last year and he's not used to it, I think he needs a break for a while. In the short term I would play Henderson ahead of him, but I think he is better than he is showing at the moment.

Second half was much better in terms of intensity, tempo and movement.
Borini, Suarez and Sturridge must be the future until we can invest in more wide players, with Sterling contributing from the bench.
The first 20 minutes was alright tactically in terms of our shape, but after they scored, it kind of fell apart.
Oh well, focus on the next game.

Indeed, but he was the worst of the bunch, which answers the question of why people were singling him out.Originally posted by Mostar View PostYou could same the same thing about Gerrard. He also almost gifted them a goal too.

Oh come on, Allen kept giving the ball away, was always off the pace and hardly ever made a positive pass to his own team...He's greatest contribution was for Man Utd.-----------------------------------------------

He's been **** for most of the season. He's had 3 or 4 good games for the rest of them has been poor. Its not a "knee jerk after we lose" response. Its a "he's been **** for most of the season" post. He almost cost us a goal today with his dreadful backpass. He did get better in the second half but he couldn't have done any worse.Originally posted by Marina View PostYeah that's one of those knee-jerk "post-match-thread-after-we-lose" responses. The first month of his Liverpool career, everyone was saying he was our best player. He's had some admittedly poor games but so have several others. It would be a mistake to sell him in the summer, unless he's REALLY **** during the second half of the season and picks up some ridiculous injury and basically rules out any chance he has of getting better.
Who would you rather see play in he middle for Liverpool Joe Allen or a player like Sissoko or M'Vila?

Give it up. Nobody is saying we did, they are just saying he was ****, which he was. What's the big deal? Are you complaining that people aren't calling enough of our other players **** too?Originally posted by Mostar View PostWe didn't lose the game because of him and to me it is wrong to pick on him alone.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I've got no idea how you think BR will set up if he had wide players and trying to fit sturridge and saurez in the same team.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostSecond half was much better in terms of intensity, tempo and movement.

Sturridge & Borini were not fit enough to start. Both returning from injuries. Would you rather they start & risk getting injured? Right move to bring them on when the opposition was tiring.Originally posted by -V- View PostAs I said in the pre-game thread we should have started Sturridge today. Sterling is too inexperienced for this kind of game. Bad decision
However that being said I feel very confident that our strikeforce will win us alot of points between now and end of season. Very excited by Suarez Sturridge Borini
The only error made by Rodgers today was starting Allen, over the much improved Henderson. Allen was flogged too much early season and as its caught up on him, his form has gradually declined. But form is temporary, class is permanent. Oldest saying around, but also the truest.Forwards.......
