Tell you what i would love us to ship out Coates and get in williams based on yet another **** performance. The guys head is just empty when it comes to defending.
Coates had a poor game I accept that but I'm not going to hide behind the fact that we lack physical presence in our team. Rodgers needs to realise that we'll continue to stuggle in midfield unless we address the glaring problems. We can buy as many attacking players as we want but it won't solve how soft we are in the middle. It's so clear we get bullied.
On the plus side some birds just walked away with a quid on deal or no deal. That cheered me up.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
We should have beaten them no matter how '****' the squad is. I mean, we didn't lose because of our squad. We lost because we couldn't compete physically.
And that means our squad isn't all that,i mean £15million for a wimp like Allen, this is when you need a plan B like Andy Carroll who would have given the Oldham defence plenty of problems
Are they as physical as Oldham? It's going to be totally different games. How can we be moving forward a week then it's like we're regressing suddenly?
We are moving forward in that we're starting to impose ourselves on weaker opposition at home. That's good - but our progress is undermined all the time by inexplicable lapses. Like I said two forward, one back. It is to be expected to a degree but I'm not having any glossing over getting pumped by a team placed 19th in the 3rd division who've lost 7 of their last 9.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

nail on the head.
Big man Andy would have slaughtered them today. Taste of their own medicine and all that.

Not glossing anything but there are things that I've seen today which would have been called fouls in the PL. We have a problem against overly physical teams but then it's not as simple as getting bullies in midfield to resolve that issue. Think a lot is down to character and having the belief and willingness to force impose our play against sides as this. We played in their hands a lot by launching it today.
Average age of the starting team was 22 today so taken in that context, losing and FA cup game away from home in an initimidating atmosphere isn't a disaster.
