Beaten by a great big cart horse that we let muscle his way through our weakend defence, where the hell were Agger & Johnson, I've said it before(maybe not on here) and and I'll say it again (maybe to just to myself) but why change a winning team particularly with a dominant defence. **** rotation!!! just keep a winning team, No way would Oldham have suceeded against the real first team but hey, too late we're out!!!

I watched the 1986 cup final on LFCTV yesterday, and I was there, but I'd forgotten how good we were then (to be fair how good the bluenoses were as well)

The third goal was just magical, pure football, pure joy, where did it all go wrong?

I think Robinson is a better technical player but his mistakes are very visible. I think he needs to bulk up and get a loan move somewhere
The problem is Wisdom is CB playing out of position due to lack of cover at left back and both Enrique and Kelly being injured at the same time. Added with the lack of trust in Robinson.

But I agree, a loan move for Robinson is the most sensible thing to do.

Shaw looks class mate, he's much bigger than Robinson and really good on the ball, got a bright future considering he's only 17!

Go and get him. Ince and a left back can wait until the summer but we are one midfielder down after sahins exit. Diame offers something different.
I certainly wouldnt be adverse to buying someone like Diame

for the supposed £3.5 million fee he looks decent and frankly I thought he dominated us and it wasnt until he went off that our game seemed to pick up

We need someone in the middle who is dominant and who wont be bullied

I dont see that in any of our players at the moment outside of Gerrard

i doubt he would cause they're used to playing big target men. whenever we played proper football we put them under pressure but didn't finish it off.
if that target man **** was any useful the likes of stoke would win the league. and newly promoted side would bully others out of their way. the obsession with the physical side of the game is a bit comical in my eyes.

We can get smashed by city but we have to beat arsenal. I want us to smash 6 and then blow that stadium off the planet. The cunt supports arsenal.

Think a lot is down to character and having the belief and willingness to force impose our play against sides as this. We played in their hands a lot by launching it today.

Average age of the starting team was 22 today so taken in that context, losing and FA cup game away from home in an initimidating atmosphere isn't a disaster.
They bullied us and we should be able to stand up to it.

Why didn't Jamie Carragher start today?

He was a guaranteed starter today and he was on the bench. Injury or just selection?

Ah. You know I don't pay attention to what's happening outside of LFC so I take your point.

In terms of expectation, the Burnley one was a complete shock for me. Today after seeing the line up, it was quite the opposite.
                  Oh I don't know.

I think it points to him starting on Wednesday.

                      Massive worry for me

Mansfield bullied us at times and today we were totally bullied in midfield

Shocking, sometimes skill and talent isnt enough

If I was Rodgers I'd stick Allen on the bench and only bring him on in the event we were winning

I think hes the type of player who suits playing for a winning side and you use him to close out the game

Gerrard should start as many games as conceivably possible and Allen should come on if we are winning to give Gerrard a breather

Thats how we should manage things

Persisting playing Allen is definitely to the detriment of the team as a whole

As for today its madness to put Allen in a midfield two, double madness to put him alongside Henderson

Tactically we were all wrong today on formation and personnel level

We can buy as many attacking players as we want but it won't solve how soft we are in the middle. It's so clear we get bullied.

Its interesting that more and more people are picking up on this

Its been plainly obvious for months!!!!!

Clearly not Rodgers nor does he seem to accept or realise how poor and detremental Allen is to the side

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

God that was ****. None of the back ups helped themselves and Skrtel yet again struggles in a physical battle.

Coates is a weird one, seems to look decent against good opponents but horrendous against **** teams.

For the last 10 minutes we should have stuck one of the centre backs up front as a target. Trying to walk the ball in all the time is a failed logic. There are times especially desperation, you launch it and try and pick up on the knock downs. We are so brittle from front to back. Neither Suarez or sturridge were capable of retaining possession.
