If the defense can't handle the long ball then push up out of the box. Defending deep and not winning any headers is asking for trouble. With that said, what the ref allowed the Oldham attackers to get away with (climbing on our players) was taking the piss.

whilst i agree the ref was a tad lenient today (****) the same cant be said when we faced the other mentioned forwards. neither skrtel or anger can deal with a physical presence. i can accept struggling vs a drogba but not a carlton cole or kenwyne jones.

Me too. Coates is rusty and 4th choice. Played poorly, not surprising.

Not surprising at all. He needs much more playing time and not an odd game here and there.

I definitely read it somewhere, **** knows where though, I read so much about lfc on a daily basis. Rodgers was in court Monday at the very least and was in London with Gerrard the night before so they definitely had time off after Norwich.

Well 2 days off between Norwich and Oldham wouldn't be an issue. Even then, that doesn't mean that the rest of the squad weren't training while Rodgers and Gerrard were away.
