I wouldn't go that far but today we collectively failed.

There was no player today that got passing mark for me.

In isolation today's results really is not that bad. **** happens. Results like this are a part and parcel of football. However the thing which bothers me is that this season marginally physical strikers and sides have made our midfield and defense look like mugs. Stoke and Oldham have provided a blueprint on how to own us. West Ham and Cole were not doing that badly until Diame had to leave. To me that is more of a worry than Robinson and Jones underperforming today.

That is not an issue just with the youngsters. Not a huge fan of how Brendan has singled out the youngsters for todays defeat.

          It's the FA cup.
          Are we winning?

It certainly would be more upsetting if it had been a league game.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

At least we can't lose to them in a league game.

              Small mercies...

Absolutely. Mouthy little ****bag should have been subbed for that. That was the poorest I have seen him play and he showed a terrible attitude.

If this is the kick up the arse to genuinely challenge for 4th then I'd take it any day of the week.

Punished how? More importantly, punsished why?

The communication on a football pitch is not the Queen's English, players are always barking at other players; Suarez will have launched profanity at Robinson, Robinson swore back.

                          It's football, we move on.

IMO the idea of only signing young players is misguided. You need a mixture of youth and experience, that was evident yesterday (the average age of the starting outfield players was 22). We've had similar situations in the past but the experience of the likes of Carragher, Gerrard, Hyypia, Hamann in key positions has allowed us to keep calm and use their experience to see the tough periods of such games out.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Lots of people papering over the cracks

Its been a constant problem all season and with the players Rodgers seems to be bringing in it definitely wont be addressed this window

Age doesnt really matter its the type of players that is all wrong imo

We seem to have an emphasis on signing small technical players and its clear we have a problem with the physical side of the game. We need more aggression and physicality in our side and that has to be addressed
