I wasn't as critical of Aquilani as others but when he was here Raul was deffo better.
The times they are a changin'.

Is agree with that. Pair of pansies though.

Aquilani was also signed before Meireles - in fact the whole order is wrong

I think it's just been done by the height of each player, from shortest to tallest. not really, hehe

He knows that BR wants his attacking midfielders to chip in goals and he is forcing issue little too much atm.

He is vital for us and I would not drop him (he does so many little things that lot of times go unnoticed) but many times this season his decision making is not the greatest especially in the final third as he is looking to score when it would be better if he would just pass.

He just needs to relax and be a playmaker he was towards the end of the last season and everything else will fall in its place.

He needs to get his **** together.....seems to have faded after his Injury and Haircut

He has been poor this season. Doesn't look the same player, fades in games and end product is poor. Maybe second season syndrome? Bags of ability but is struggling at the moment.

                  Think he's trying too hard.

We all know what he's capable of. I wonder if he's forcing himself too much with perhaps one eye on the World Cup.

It'll happen for him though. He should've scored more goals this season but it'll happen.

Hasn't been poor at all, utter garbage.

We were at our poorest when he was out injured (following the Swansea away game). We'd miss him if he wasn't playing. Even when he's **** - he's good.
                        Another MASSIVE game

He's 21! Below par this season for sure, frustrating at times, but he's not 22 for another six months and if he'd come through the ranks, being that young still, he'd be being viewed quite differently. Number 10s are notoriously hard to fit into a team - they usually end up being shunted out wide - and ideally he'd be at the tip of a midfield three. But it's difficult, especially with two strikers who have to play. I think he'll become a world beater of a no.10 in time but we've got to remember how young he is.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
