Was over-powered and didn't get much support from his team mates. There wasn't much spark between the front three last night, we looked rather ordinary.

I don't think there will be many people that thought he played well in either half to be honest. The tools are there for the lad just a matter of him getting some much needed consistency in his game IMO.

He was a pivotal figure in the first half. Most of the time the attack went through him. Trouble was he gave it away too many times either through sloppiness or making the decision. It happens.
      Oh I don't know.

Pivotal is the wrong word as there was no real development up front

I disagree i thought we were the better side in the first half but never really looked like scoring. Coutinho got a lot of the ball and you would expect that as he is the "brain" of the team, the playmaker but it just didn't happen for him last night.

In saying that.... Fernando was outstanding last night, gave Coutinho space in the areas he couldn't hurt them but closed down everything when it mattered. Quality at what he does & he'll be crucial to City this season IMO.

He reminds me so much of Garcia. I guess if you play that kind of game it's inherently risky that, if the flick or through ball doesn't come off, it surrenders possession.

****e again. What's going on with him, he's not worthy of the central position given the alternatives we could play there?

He has been piss poor so far. I would stick Sterling in the middle.

I think he just needs to play through it. Must be a confidence thing.

Good squad option but is so inconsistent. The talent is there but unfortunately he could be one of those talented but incredibly ****ing frustrating players... that never fulfill their potential. Sterling or Lallana through the middle IMO

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He's been asked to play too deep I think but the movement in front of him is nowhere near as good to when Suarez was here. Yet. He's too good to be doubted.

Coutinho has a far higher potential than Lallana - he has ridiculous ability, is only young and is having a bit of a blip

I don't know, he's brilliant at through balls but with Sturridge out we don't have strikers who are good at making the runs and making themselves available. Lallana and sterling may be better at getting into the box and scoring.
