If that were to happen, all we've done is replace him with a lesser player. Squad depth the same, Keita only joins in a year anyway, probably replacing Emre. And it means that the "huge transfer kitty" was always just down to Coutinho leaving, with almost no net spend again.

So I choose not to believe that, because today's been really exciting and I just feel really positive about the future of LFC.

I thought it was obvious that the issue for us has been the lateness of the offer from Barcelona. It would create a Mascherano gap. Knowing we have one more year means we can manage it as well as we did when we knew that was the case with Suarez.
