To be fair, dont Utd have more points at this stage than they ever have before?Originally posted by Buzzo View Post29 points behind a mediocre Man U side.
We're mid table fodder. Capable of the occasional win, but mainly ****e.
We're mid table yes, a decent performance against City (in poor form themselves, losing to Southampton in the next game) and people went OTT.
Have we actually taken 3 points off any of the top half yet?SakhoPotatoes

We were by far the better team and looked like the only team who looked like trying to score, never mind actually do it.
Criticisms? By Rodgers, I'd have not started Jonjo. He's not going to get in the box. As average as Borini has been, I'd have started a striker. Other than that, can't say much else. He picked a team that was by far the best side.
As for some of the players. Well I don't know. Too often this season, certain players haven't been at the races. Enrique was a disgrace. But he wasn't the only one poor in possession. Shocking and we never really got going because someone would give it away before we could string four passes together.Forwards.......

A recurring theme for us ATM it seems is that if we deliver 2/3 good performances you can be sure we'll follow it up with a disaster like tonight.Originally posted by McDermotX View PostMagnificent mind-games effort from Clarke, buttering us up over the weekend about how we're playing etc etc.
Lads go out there almost on automatic, knocking it about expecting it to happen
and then, BAM !!
****ed six ways from Sunday.
Lazy, languid performance from a good few out there.

They were just better than us. Tactically, they soaked the pressure then hit us when we switched formation.
Gerrard should play further forward, and as a second striker if Sturrisge is not playing. There is no link play whatsoever. Aimlessly knocked forward. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

I feel if our full backs had been better we'd have won that. Enrique slowed the game down so much when he got it.

Yes, but we should have won both those games, but didn't.Originally posted by Alex View PostI know. But we can't forget about how we played against Arsenal and City.
Obviously beforehand, I'd have taken a draw at both matches, but I do feel we threw them away somewhat.
And we've conceded two goals again. We've conceded more than one goal a hell of a lot of times this season.A humble guy with healthy desire.

We can't keep looking at individual games saying thats a sign that we're improving, loads of sides do that. We're still yet to beat anyone half decent this season.SakhoPotatoes
