**** knows mate, I'm starting to think we should just get 2 dominant *******s at the back at least that way we'll be tighter from set pieces. Even Long was holding the ball up under no pressure at all.

They were just better than us. Tactically, they soaked the pressure then hit us when we switched formation.

Gerrard should play further forward, and as a second striker if Sturrisge is not playing. There is no link play whatsoever. Aimlessly knocked forward.

Clearly not true but Clarke's tactics worked pretty well. Soaked up a load of pressure, rode their luck a bit. Then hit us on a set-piece.

We can't keep looking at individual games saying thats a sign that we're improving, loads of sides do that. We're still yet to beat anyone half decent this season.

That's my point though. Look at the games before Oldham. We did well. We are just really inconsistent.
