Dom's right though, the view of the game can be pretty crap given the gap from the edge of the pitch to the stands.

Will we be playing the socceroos?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

It will be 1000 times better than a dodgy stream at 3 in the morning.

They estimate that the Victory will have at least 30K at the game, the United game is against an all star team, the only fans at the United game will be united fans.
          Confirmed?

Hmmm, fair enough. I could be wrong then. Half the Victory fans would also be reds fans I imagine. Always tons of LFC strips at their games.

              The story of my life!
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Yeah, but at least those games mean something.

Anytime I watch LFC play it means something to me. That's all I need. Plus we will get to see loads of our players which you don't normally see.

You can't have gone to Sheffield United in the 70s then. Bramall Lane was one of the grounds regularly used by Yorkshire CC so the football pitch had grandstands on only three sides. One side of the football pitch was completely open with the cricket outfield spreading towards a cricket pavilion in the distance. Looked really bizarre, but the TV cameras were on the cricket pavilion side and zoomed in so it looked like a normal football ground on TV.

I've stayed in the Hilton opposite the MCG a few times and it does look an impressive stadium, far more like a traditional football stadium than a cricket ground so I'm sure it'll be a good venue for the game. It certainly couldn't look remotely as wrong as playing football at Bramall Lane did in the past

Haha, I've never had the pleasure of going to Bramall Lane. In any era.
                                Oh I don't know.
