If your moving to Tassie to get away from the English weather I have some bad news for you!"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Are we playing in Malaysia again?.Originally posted by SB View PostOh yeah. I will be quick. Wouldn't miss it for the world. My mate & I are dreaming of going to Malaysia to see them as we'll. cost may play a part in that idea though.
If we do, airasiax are pretty cheap to fly to Malaysia from Melbourne..no frills but if you book way in advance it's dirt cheap and hotels cost bobbins... I can sort tickets out for you if you do decide to come...Malaysian administration is not that hot and it's easier to pick them up than have them delivered.

On second thoughts, I don't reckon there's any way this will sell out. Filling the G for a midweek game in the middle of winter. Forget it. 80k tops. Would love to be proven wrong though.

The United game sold out in 15 minutes. If it goes ahead I'm not taking any chances, I'll make sure that I will be at home the moment tickets go on sale.Originally posted by banditos View Post

The guys in the nose bleed sections will definitely have too. It is a big downside to football matches at the MCG, but if you want large capacity you have to go there. The largest purpose built ground in town holds something like 24k only.Originally posted by dom9 View PostFootball in cricket ground? Are you guys taking binoculars with you?

The 'pitchside' seats wouldn't be much better. How could you see what's happening at the other end of pitch?Originally posted by banditos View PostThe guys in the nose bleed sections will definitely have too. Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Yep. Middle tier is probably the only spot where you could actually get a good view of the action. That's what you get in a city where AFL is the dominant code. Atmosphere should be pretty good though, with close to 100k reds fans who rarely get to see their team.Originally posted by dom9 View PostThe 'pitchside' seats wouldn't be much better. Don't know, I think the game may be in Sydney, and if it is then it is at Homebush which holds 84,000. There are a lot of unhappy united fans, so it could've sold a lot more, on top of that the LFC game will be against Victory, who, apparently, have the biggest supporter base in the A-League. They estimate that the Victory will have at least 30K at the game, the United game is against an all star team, the only fans at the United game will be united fans.Originally posted by banditos View PostWas that at the G?"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
