So as I mentioned a while ago now we are playing in Bangkok on 28 July, exactly as announced on Thai TV at least a month ago. Bangkok is less than an hour's flight from where I live, so a lot handier than Melbourne. Still can't work out why LFC waited so long to confirm it officially though. All the reds' fans here have been making arrangements for weeks. My flights and hotel are already booked

So close to being able to do my exchange and this. Its one or the other. The next few days are going to be interesting deciding. My application for uni is due very soon and family from canada have just announced they are coming here, the majority of that time being when I would be away.
Big call

Looks like the Melbourne Victory manager is a big reds fan.

On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

I'm worried about getting tickets, I think they'll go quickly. Unless there's anyway of getting presale tickets I'm gonna arrange to get to work late so that I can get onto Ticketek at 09:00am day of sale."That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

It holds 100K? You should be fine mate. But I agree about not mucking about & getting them on the day.Originally posted by jono View PostI'm worried about getting tickets, I think they'll go quickly. I don't think that it will be fine. I'm not sure how many Victory members they have, but MVFC members will get presale. I'm guessing that they won't be buying the odd 1 or 2 tickets, they'll buy up big. I'm guessing 20K-30K gone already there and then. Also there will be fans from Qld all the way through to SA (possibly WA, NZ) wanting to go and all of a sudden the additional 70K remaining tickets doesn't look that much.Originally posted by SB View PostIt holds 100K? From the number of LFC fans I've met across the country my guess is that we probably outnumber the MUFC fans, if we don't then it is very close and tickets to the United game went in 15 minutes, and they are playing an all star team, so there will likely be United supporters only at that match that holds 80K.
My advice don't stuff around. If you belong to an LFC Australia facebook page then you'll see the buzz that this is causing. Someone mentioned about presale being available to LFC members. If that is the case what do you need to do? I heard about the presale to our fans. My nephew is looking into that for me as his girlfriend has renewed hers so hopefully to get it secured early. They're expecting 80-90k. It won't sell out, but it will be nearly full..Originally posted by jono View PostI don't think that it will be fine. How sure are you mate that it won't sell out? I'm panicking about getting a ticket, apparently the Man U tickets sold out in 2 hours! Would it be best to get tickets online or best to visit Ticketek offices (just moved to Melbourne, not in the know yet)Originally posted by banditos View PostThey're expecting 80-90k. United game is at ANZ stadium, which holds 83.5k, so about 17k less than the MCG. If you jump online when general ticket sales open, I reckon you'll be ok.Originally posted by GerryB View PostHow sure are you mate that it won't sell out?
