If you look at the whole season, league and cups, then it is probably our worst since the 60's.

Nah. Don't care what the stats are, we were much worse under Souness than we've been this season, Fowler & Macca aside those teams were bollocks. And we were awful under Hodgson, just awful. This season we've looked like a terribly young and inexperienced team at times, and a team struggling to develop a real identity. But when it clicks we look very handy and really should become more consistent over time. Screw the stats whatever they are, this is nowhere near our worst season in years.

It adds balance, some people would have you believe that we were the best side in the league following a draw against City. Its a pity that you can't see things from both sides, as the correct one tends to be a blend of both.
You'd soon go crackers if we were all here high fiving each other after winning the passing but losing the match.

****ing lolololol. Serious irony there. And we'd all go crackers much faster if all anyone ever looked to see was the negativity. Yes, we lost the tie. Yes, this has been a tricky season. But why is it such a bad thing for people to have a bit of patience and to see the positives in performances like tonight, of which there are many? I don't see anyone being happy we lost, but plenty of people are realistic enough not to have to throw themselves over the nearest virtual cliff about it either.

You appear to have a preconceived dislike of our manager based on his lack of experience managing at the top level which totally ignores the fact that our last 3 managers had more experience than anyone could really ask for or expect and all of them failed to achieve significantly better results with this squad. In the case of the last 2, neither of them appeared to have much of a cohesive plan going forward, a sense of how to get us back to where we should be. Rodgers definitely does have that; now it may not work out but are you really not prepared to give him a proper chance? The Liverpool way and all that?

Kenny was from a different era. Romanticism aside, he'd been out of the game too long. Hodgson was not an appointment that most of us welcomed, we knew what he was and he proved us right. Rafa was a winner, proven history of taking smaller sides above and beyond themselves, Rogers... The biggest side he's manage is Swansea. He might prove to be the right man, but its still all up in the air, february and we're out of everything.
