We levelled the scoreline and therefore made a point and didn't disgrace ourselves. It was disappointing, but we could and probably should have won. I just want us to concentrate on the league now and reach the highest possible league position. Fourth is still technically possible and if we want to attract decent players then we should be pushing for a CL spot.

I think he should be sold.
Brendan cocked that up there.Agree with both posts.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostHe should have given himself 5 mins to reassess after the goal went in. It was stupid to change 2 payers right after a goal when our tails were up.
Rodgers shouldn't have subbed any of them as we had momentum on our side and both were playing well and were involved in scoring until the point of substitution.
He really ****ed up there..Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

I was very proud of the team today. When that goal went in I thought we were finished but by **** did we give them a good game.
There's **** all Rodgers can do about individual errors like that so they should be used as a stick to beat him with.
For me, I see real progress in the team spirit and ethos and this will filter down to the subs, reserves and lower. It means that players will be bought and trained to slip right into the first team just like at Barcelona.
It's a shame about Gerrard getting on a bit but I hope he can be part of a title winning team in the very near future! Was muß, das muß.

To be honest, there were some poor performances for the first 30mins. Henderson, Allen , Johnson, Carra, Downing were absolutely ****e at the start. When we went a goal down, it was tempting to get up and leave. But I have to be fair and say that that the team showed incredible guts to almost rescue that. At 80 I though the only reason we would'nt do it was because they were dead on their feet. Thought Suarez, Gerrard, Downing, Lucas, Agger, Carra, Enrique ran themselves into the ground in the second half trying to rescue it.
Suarez is god. Pray we don't lose him and he gives us another season.
Assaidi showed why he should be ahead of Sterling. He was great when he came on. Shelvey was poor, his confidence is shot. Tough to know what to do with him now. Allen wasn't great, neither was Henderson, but maybe the timing of the subs was bad, but I agreed with them at the time.
It's a shame but proud of how they stood up tonight. They could have let the game die 3 down but it was an amazing fightback, robbed by what looked a clear penalty and weakness off the bench. Coutinho and Sturridge make a difference. A few defenders and we are not far off. Positives are there for certain.

Shelvey and Assaidi were coming on before our 3rd goal anyway. The decision to bring on assaidi was good (for Allen) but I said at the time that shelvey introduction would ****in lose the game for us.......and it did. We had them on the ****in ropes and then took our foot off the pedal..... The Brodge was left holding his cock then afterwards when he had to bring on sterling......he only had downo to bring off. Stevie ****in Wonder could see that the move to make when the 3rd goal went in was to tell shelvo and assaidi to put their track suit tops back on...,, should have brought on Assaidi and Sterling for Allen and Hendo - bit not until the 80th minute to be honest.....and I'm pretty sure it'd have been 4 or 5 by then

I have to disagree with comments that Henderson was ****e. He was everywhere in the first half. A great ball to Jose for the 2nd and even if he did lose the ball a few times he couldn't have tried harder.
I didn't post in here last night because I was so down I knew I would have a knee jerk reaction to the whole thing, no matter how good we were on the night.
I can't stress how much I think Rodgers got things wrong with his subs last night. A team that had scored 3 goals in 60 minutes and was flying at the time does not need changing. Shelvey was shocking as he has been for most of the season. Bar a run of games were he did start to look the part he has not done anything to suggest he deserved to be in the team.
I didn't totally mind at the time the fact he made a sub but it should have been Allen for whoever and Henderson should have been in the middle. After those subs he took the fluency out of the team and we hardly troubled them except for Shelvey's glaring miss and Gerrard's unlucky bouncer which the keeper made a good save from.
I was proud that we came back the way we did but it was still ultimately frustrating due to subs which baffled me and another defensive mistake which has been the story of our season. Over both legs we gave away two incredibly sloppy goals and even the Hulk screamer was the result of losing the ball after pissing about at the back with the ball again.
I'm fed up of the hard luck stories. We are just not good enough and I really fear if we lose Luis that we are going to be in an awful position.
I wouldn't trust the man who spent 26million on Allen (although tbf, Allen looked a player at first) and Borini to spend that wisely.
We desperatley need to get some sort of European place next season.
On the plus side, Enrique and Suarez were absolutley outstanding last night and Assaidi did very well and made you wonder why he hasn't had more of a chance.
