    Southampton Build Up

Need to keep things going and get another 3 points.

On paper should be an easy 3 points, but the games I’ve watched since Pochettino came in they’ve looked very good. That was against United and City, however Newcastle recently stuffed them and they lost at home to QPR.

No way they’ll keep Luis quiet though, so confident of another win.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

There is too much time between matches! I'm getting all excited again. Against Southampton I reckon we should go for the same lineup, maybe give Skrtel a chance to get back his place though? Only other possible change for me would be Sturridge out and Henderson in.
    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Aye, so probably wont be too many decent streams and bars aren't even guaranteed to show it now.

          Show Southampton V Liverpool
          15:00
          Show Stoke V West Brom
          15:00
          Show Swansea V Arsenal

Posted this in the Spurs thread, although it's probably more for here:

            Vs Aston Villa (A)

On paper we should win them both, but our away form is still very poor. We've only taken 8 points from our last six away games.

Two wins and we'll be putting real pressure on Arsenal and possibly even Chelsea IMO. Both are capable off throwing in the odd surprise draw/defeat. Anything less than that and we'll just be looking at fending off Everton and West Brom for 6th place.
That said I do think we'll thump Southampton. The only concern is the random unexplainable defeat we seem to throw in without explanation, like we did against Villa and West Brom.

That was before Coutinho joined and started matches. We averages 4 goals per game when he starts.

They've got some very tidy players Southampton.

                Schneiderlin
                Ramirez
                Rodriguez
                Lallana

Lambert and Puncheon can both be a difficult as well.

I like Yoshida, Clyne and Shaw as well. I rate them far higher than Norwich, they were just getting back on track under Adkins as well, the change definitely disrupted them. They've been looking a bit leggy lately so I hope raising their game against us won't be enough.

Looking forward to this. Southampton are ok-ish at the moment but they keep losing. 3 points please.

That Schneiderlin looks a cracking player whenever I've seen him.

Another game where we might get bullied by a strong centre forward in Lambert.
I can see us winning but don't think it'll be as easy as some think, Southampton will press us and we've been prone to defensive errors.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

he's playing at a level bellow himself at the moment but if they stay up this season they've got some very good players to build on. Much rather see the likes of them in the league than the dross Stoke serve up.

This is my worry for this game. Lambert is fantastic in the air and pulls off onto the fullbacks too which is hard to deal with for any side. If we keep a high tempo I think they'll struggle towards the end of the game but they'll be really up for this one so any stupid mistakes from the back and they'll be all over it.

This game is all about preparation. If the lads are ready for the fight from the off, we should win it comfortably.

Liverpool class? Good enough as cover for Lucas perhaps?
