We've got a little bit of momentum behind us. Played good football in the last month. Scored plenty of goals some of which have been exquisite. Confidence is on the up, this place is a lot more optimistic and we could conceivably win 7 of our last nine and force ourselves into the reckoning for 4th....
annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd watch us lose to Southampton.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I would like to see us hammer Southampton and then the likes of Gerrard, Johnson, Suarez, Sturridge all to pull out of the international games with slight tweeks and strains..... watch the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs pull out the likes of Bale, Lennon, Wilshere, Walcott out of these games...... whereas we always have to have captain fantastic bursting a gut for them.....
I'd let Downing go, but nobody else to the england squad (unless Woy wants to call up Shelvo again...)

Liverpool are waiting to discover whether Pepe Reina will be fit to face Southampton on Saturday, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.
The goalkeeper missed last weekend's victory over Tottenham Hotspur with a calf injury and the Reds will discover on Friday whether he'll be able to make the journey to the south coast.
Rodgers told his pre-match press conference at Melwood: "He hasn't trained so much this week, but he's coming along better and had a real good response today to some of the work.
"We'll find out by tomorrow for definite if he's going to be fit."
Meanwhile, Rodgers revealed Joe Allen will be involved at St Mary's - despite requiring surgery to cure a niggling shoulder problem.
The midfielder will also join up with Wales next week and no date has been pencilled in for the operation as yet.
"It's something that he's been playing through," said Rodgers. "My comment last week was just to make it aware that he'll probably need an operation.
"Joe has been fighting through that for a few years, to be honest. He's had a problem with it, but it hasn't been so bad.
"But since October time, he's really felt it and it [surgery] is something that at the right time in the next couple of months we'll look to get organised.
"At this moment, he's involved in the group and he'll be involved with the Welsh squad. We'll assess and analyse it after that."
Asked by journalists whether he had any other injury concerns ahead of the journey to Southampton, Rodgers replied: "No at this moment, no. There's another day to go and then we'll see."
