Don't think we won 2 games in a row in the league, did we? And if we did, it was just the once. That was the killer factor, for me.

Thank **** the woodwork has been in poor form this season.
Suarez was also banned for 8 or 9 games last season

We also had Lucas as a long term absentee as well from December onwards

That said we keep possession better than we did last season and the attacking play is more pleasing on the eye

And there's no prospect of utter **** like Carroll and Adam coming on, or Jordan Henderson having his future jeopardised with **** displays stuck out on the right.

As I've said before, possession and attacking doesn't mean **** all if you don't do anything with it. If Suarez hadn't have been unfairly banned last season, and had Lucas not been injured, it would have been a massively different story. But that's irrelevant now. We've scored a lot more goals than last season, yet we're only one place higher.

We had a terrible start to the season due to having an inexperienced manager new to the job and a tough run of fixtures, that bad start has impacted massively on our league position. However we've gradually improved as the season has gone on.

Although that's exactly what you'd expect to happen once the tough run of fixtures is over as the average difficulty of the remaining fixtures is lower (if you see what I mean).
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Rodgers seems to have gone a bit shaky in his boots since he heard Rafa was apparently waiting for the job again.

What's Rodgers said that's lead you to this conclusion?

                      Highly OTT

I do think it rubbed him up the wrong way though.

If FSG wanted Rafa, they'd have got him last summer. They chose Rodgers.

I love Rafa and thought he was a fantastic manager and still is a great man, but ****ing hell, we have a manager now. We have an ambitious one with real philosophy and desire. Sure, he doesn't have the prestige of Ancelotti, but who's to say he won't achieve here?

Brendan's here for the long term.

Well at least 1 more year. Long term well that depends on next season.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

I'm one of Rafa's biggest fans and I'm gutted that he left when he did and the way it happened.

However I like Rodgers and we need to give him time. We're improving under his management.

Can't see Rafa coming back for a long time, if at all.

Amazing how people have got themselves worked up over this story when he was probably talking about moving back to Liverpool, the place, rather than the club.
