This seasons has been boring as ****.

We haven't challenged for anything at all. I dunno if thats acceptable or not, seems as though it is... We need to kick on next season otherwise we have become Spurs.

Thank **** we have had Louis.

I'll be glad when this season is over

it's been a ****ing **** season imo for a number of reasons despite being quite realistic and never ever expected us to even challenge for top 4

            a) Although i do see some genuine positives and appreciate the size of the task - this has made me more frustrated! - just when we see something coming together, a glimmer that we are moving in the right direction etc, and then right around the corner we go and **** it all up with something ****!

            b) the above kinda leads on to this - we seem to have the same issues week in week out and haven't really tried anything to address them - surely it's not just a coincidence or bad luck.

            c) i really fear that we are slipping so far behind now that without either a ridiculous cash injection for players or unbelievable financial rule changes in our favour, we will never catch up.

            d) we've been through so much drama on and off the pitch the last 10 years, it's fried my nerves, patience and brains

it would just be nice if we could have a good summer! no drama off the pitch, keep our best players, and make 4 or 5 genuine top signings that improve the first team, thus strengthening the squad and gives a good chance of competing next season

the worry is i feel it's more likely that we'll sell suarez and maybe agger/reina, to fund deals for lesser players and the whole 'we're rebuilding' ****e will be peddled again!

feels like we've been rebuilding for 20 years

Just looking forward to next season now.

Plenty to be positive about, and with a couple of good signings in the summer then there's no reason why we can't challenge for the top four next year.

                We've progressed.

Dunno, this season hasn't been as boring or uneventful as some make out. In all the obvious and tangible ways it has been: we're out of all the cups we were eligible for and we may very likely not qualify for Europe next season. It's been fun to watch Liverpool though. Most of our games have made for really enjoyable spectatorship. Ultimately, isn't that kind of the point? Why do people watch football, or other sports, anyway? Obviously, we all want the team and club to be successful in all possible ways, and because we have mates, relatives, or irritating acquaintances who may support rival teams, we always want bragging rights. Nevertheless, I disagree with the notion that this season's been a waste, that it's been boring, etc.

There is a huge pool of frustration out of not competing, which bubbles up from time to time when things don't go our way, but taking at cold objective look at things I realise the size of the task we have to get back up there. Which increases the pool of frustration

It has been a really weird season. At the start I promised myself that I would not take the rough times too hard because we are a work in progress and patience will be vital....sadly I broke my promise lol.

There are some real positives this season - the light that young players can now see at the end of the tunnel will push them to work harder knowing they may well get that chance to shine. Also, the football at times has been like Liverpool of old, i.e. the pass and move style which I just adore.

But overall it has to be said that the feeling is one of frustration (as Red Polo points out ) on varying levels.

Personally I honestly think if BR had £26m of his summer budget to spend again, he would not have made those mistakes and we would have been in the top 4 or 5.

aye - always feels like we have been just a couple of players away from winning the league

if we had been better managed off the pitch and successful on it, there is no reason why our starting XI couldn't be

So if the league stays as it is until the end of the season, Everton finish above us, but we still get European football?

I don't know what you lot think, but that will wind them up enormously.

Weird because I think that this season has been anything but boring, I'd describe it as a rollercoaster, some real highs but plenty of lows also.

                            1. First 2 months or so of the season we were in and around the relegation zone.

                            2. Suarez scoring goals for fun

                            3. Gerrard having his best season since 08/9

                            3. Sterling, Wisdom and Suso being thrown in at the deep end early in the season

                            4. Downing as a left back

                            5. The comebacks against Spurs, Zenit, West Ham and Villa were memorable

                            6. The return of Carra at 35 years of age to the first team

                            7. The losses to Villa at home and away to Stoke and Southampton were awful

                            8. We've scored more goals in the league this season than in many years

                            9. We've finally remembered how to batter the lower teams at Anfield something we haven't been able to do consistently in years

                            Any more ??

I've really enjoyed this season, we've played some fantastic football at times. We're building something good, and I expect improvement next year.

The players will be better suited and Brendan will have learnt a lot too.

One or two tweaks and we could be pushing for Europe again.

                                6. The return of Carra at 35 years of age to the first team

hmmm debatable - we have won 8 out of 16 games at home in the league - only 5 of those wins have we 'battered' someone (Swansea/Norwich/Sunderland/Fulham/Wigan) - we've drawn/lost at home to West Ham/Stoke/Newcastle/Villa/West Brom!! - i make it we have 'battered' 30% of teams at home

it's not brilliant! - it's nice that we scored a decent amount of goals in a handful of games - other than that tho, i don't buy this 'flat track bully' label that i've seen people clinging on to as a positive for this season.

other than that tho i agree
