For the record, I'm not knocking Coutinho (well I am a little ) He looks like the number 10 we have been missing for a decade but Sturridge for me has been a revelation especially seeing as we couldn't hit the broad side of a barn last season.
Put it this way, if we had Countinho for the entire season I still think CL would have eluded us (just) but I think we definately would have achieved CL if we had Sturridge for the entire season.

Also what a transfer window. When was the last time we had a transfer window where ALL of the players purchased were sensational? '88 (Barnes, Beardo, Aldo)? '05 (Alonso Garcia)?

Voted Coutinho. Looks very special and lets not forget its his first season in the Premier League and i have been astonished by his strength and willingness to put a foot in.

His skill and vision goes without saying is breathtaking.

Sturridge looks like he could be an amazing talent, still have that worry in the back of my mind about his mentality not being quite right which would make take him to the next level.

But Coutinho and Sturridge for price of a Downing, More of the same this window please

Look, all I'm saying is he has been as inconsistent as Sturridge. And it shouldn't be overlooked that Sturridge dip in form is the exact same time he was suffering from a thigh strain.

Take it that nobody will be voting for Borini then.

Went for Coutinho. Sturridge has been a revelation since signing and under normal circumstances, he would be a shoe-in for signing of the season.

However...Coutinho cost just £8.5m and I don't think it's an exaggeration that he looks a player worth at least 3 times that amount. This is the sort of player that can push us back up a level to where we belong. He's just...brilliant.

                      Yesil...completely forgot about him.

I went for Sturridge. It was a close call between him and Cout but I believe Sturridge has given everyone a lift with his confidence, energy and approach to the game. So that just pips it for me.

Coutinho for me as well. The way he plays is just a breath of fresh air and what this team has been missing for a while. Comparisons have been made with one of my all tim favourite players Aimar and its easy to see now why. Cracking signing and amazing value at £8.5m.

Can't see past Phil for this. He's an absolute pleasure to watch.

Anyone think Henderson has been like a new signing this year?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Proven many doubters (me included) wrong. He has been very good since January but I still think he may struggle to be in our strongest team this time next season.

I'd certainly nominate him for most improved player, Rodgers deserves a lot of praise for that as does Henderson himself for the tremendous work he's put in and the truly professional attitude he's shown.

A lot of players would have sulked after being thrown into a deal as he was with Fulham but no, he decided to prove his worth and nobody can deny he's an important part of the team and squad.
